1200 Miles is the sophomore EP of indie-folk singer-songwriter TSOP[skg]. 
Marrying acoustic and brass instruments, synths and playful samples, Tsop transcends from his earthy first release, Home, to a dreamlike world of memory-woven rainbows. Alongside co-producer Minas Vakaloudis(Blebiru) he indulged in the midi sounds playground while bringing fresh arrangements to intimate songs by inviting friends to jam along. This EP captures the essence of self reflecting in the times of inevitable solitude. The importance of now and the longing for togetherness.

The voice of Tsop delicately delivers fragile images made out of damp photographic paper. Drawing inspiration from artists like The Barr Brothers, Sufjan Stevens, The Tallest Man On Earth, Ferran Palau, while reading the poetry of Raymond Carver, Mary Oliver and Jack Kerouac, TSOP[skg] incorporated a vast amount of influences into creating his personal style of writing songs and performing music in general. 1200 Miles was recorded in Minas’ living room. A place that has been a creative hub for the two throughout the pandemic and shaped the intimate atmosphere of this EP.

Written in the times of Corona, these songs are odes to nostalgic  and newly found love. 1200 Miles is a bridge between Tsop’s two emotional worlds of family/friends in Greece and his new reality in the Netherlands. It is an attempt to accept the distance and the need to follow a path that drifts away from home. Through the struggle of quarantine solitude he came closer to his feelings and understood the necessity of saying ‘I love you’ to his beloved ones. With 1200 Miles, TSOP[skg] is inviting the listeners to jump on their own train of thoughts and explore their land of feelings.
