Since a few months of silence Indigo Aera returns with a series of new exiting releases. Kickstarting the new season with one of Parisian's finest: Antigone. Besides being a resident at Parisian's Concrete movement, Antigone is responsible for highly acclaimed releases on Construct Re-form and Ars Mechanica, Children Of Tomorrow and the Concrete label itself.

Antigone's signature sound is a fine blend of soul searching strings on top of cutting edge sci-fi techno rhythms as evidenced by the eerie and spine tingling 'Words Of Silences'. Next, 'Third From The Sun' is a much quicker and more frantic but just as smooth and deep techno cut with celestial pads and a heavenly sense of calm. On the b-side there's a straighter 4x4 remix from label heads Jasper Wolff and Maarten Mittendorff that offers plenty of bang for its buck.

We are very happy to announce the 13th release of Cabrera with two special remixes from the label boss', J.C., 'Vertigo' record that came out in the summer of 2017. Side A comes with a special Shed rework. Rene is a huge influence for us and we are thrilled to have him on our catalogue. Keeping the essence of the original, he made a proper raw dub techno banger. On the flip side, Kastil, already part of the family, took Nyame in a whole other level and made a fresh blend of fierce techno.

The relentless stride of Northern Electronics can be put down to the attitudes of its owners, Anthony Linell and Jonas Rönnberg. Their collaborative project, Ulwhednar, has been shapeshifting at the centre of the label since its inception, and has captured their hard line electronics in its many guises.

Following on from 2017's 'Modern Silver', their new album reprises the intensity by grappling with its themes from a refreshed perspective. Crossing Norrland, the northernmost part of Sweden, and graffiti incidents and exploits, 'Razor Mesh Fencing' tracks the fervour of operations left undercover with blistering rhythmic pieces.

With only brief moments of respite on 'Razor Mesh Fencing' its stamina perpetually keeps us on the edge. Winding around its paths, our escape is in its adrenal crescendo.

Ulwhednar - Through Gates of Ice

Purveyors of contemporary electronic music Anagram return with their second remix EP that calls upon some of the scene’s most compelling and uncompromising names. Coalescence, the next chapter from the label, will unfold as a series of remix EP’s reinforcing the labels core values of community, togetherness and growth. The first instalment reflects on their previous three releases reimagining four titles under the controls of Drugstore resident Tiljana T, Ostgut Ton legend Ryan Elliot, Klockworks artist Newa and the Tel Aviv based Yotam Avni. 

Orchestrating the rework of Elad Magdasi’s ‘Liquid Dreams’ is Serbian talent Tiljana T who runs with the cinematic ideas behind the original but uses snapping hits, ebullient bass notes and plenty delay to fuel the cut with a new lease of life. The accompanying A-side sees Ryan Elliott do what Ryan Elliot does best by keeping things straight up four to the floor transforming ‘Sound of the Siren’ by Barbara Ford into pulsating peak hour material. 

On the flip side are two remixes taken from label co-founder Sinfol’s latest solo EP ‘Pull Back’. First up, Newa gets the blood rushing injecting breaking beats and furious energy into ‘Life Of Measure’ resulting in a high tempo no-nonsense techno affair that embodies the sound of the bustling Tbilisi scene. Tying together Coalescence Vol. 1 is arguably the most dynamic choice of the four remixes in Yotam Avni’s 'Final Push' Remix. With a meticulous assortment of intricately crafted synth lines and sequences, he manages to deconstruct Sinfol’s title cut of its acid workouts and replenish it with an equally rivalled amount of energy. Four artists, four remixes, Coalescence Vol. 1!

‘Paul’s Horizon’ – @Ryan-Elliott’s first EP in six years – falls musically between Berlin and Detroit, between house and techno and between hypnotic repetition and unpredictability, revealing a subtle ear for groove and composition.

It’s the DJ’s perspective that has informed the Berghain / Panorama Bar resident's own analogue productions, with ‘Paul’s Horizon’ turning its focus toward deep and slick percussion. This is apparent from the get-go, with the title track’s triangle/clap interplay, funky 5-6 kicks per bar, and bleary-eyed atmosphere. From there “Martinsville Morning” slows down into an understated sunrise groover, led by bassline, strings and pads. EP closer “Grafton Road” turns up the pace again with gasps for hats, aggressive punctuating snares, and a modulating synth bubbling-up throughout.

[Premiere] Voiski - "The Grass Around Your Thighs"

German music maestro Florian Kruse is next up on Sasha's imprint Last Night On Earth with an incredible package featuring two original tracks and an unbelievably good rework from Julian Wassermann.

'The Tide Is Turning' is a solid atmospheric techno builder, with a beautifully deep rolling groove. Soft modulated arp lines pan the stereo field, growing in velocity and resonance, around minimal percussion and a round full bass line.

Florian makes wonderful use of progressive percussive movements in the track 'Zog', flowing through different hi hats and syncopated hits, adding pace and varied textures. Drone pads float in and out of the track as it peaks and drops alongside a chunky stabbed topline, creating a brilliantly dynamic sound.

'Zog' then gets a hefty remix from Julian Wassermann who injects a wickedly dominant beat, tonnes of creative synth work and glitchy textures. Solid work.

Following several collaborations as Opuswerk on François X’s label Dement3d, both under their joint HISS:1292 project and on his debut album 'Irregular Passion', this is the first project that Hendrik is putting out under his real name, coinciding with the imprint’s objective to present a form of 'Musique de Banc d’essai', where emotions and feelings are at the heart of the music chosen with no pre-defined boundaries to limit artist experimentation.
