Pär Grindvik has been a central figure in the Swedish electronic scene since the 90s as record store owner, label manager and producer. In his artistic career Pär has released music across a plethora of acclaimed electronic labels, including a string of hits on his own Stockholm LTD imprint as well as Drumcode, with frequent collaborator Hardcell. Pär’s recent output has seen him contribute music to labels such as Semantica, Marbacka, Sinister and Dystopian.

Founded in 2002, Stockholm LTD began as an outlet for singles and EPs from Swedish artists with a focus on releasing timeless electronic music. It has since developed into a hallmark for finely crafted electronic music from a range of international artists.

Over the past two decades Pär’s involvement with the electronic music community has branched out across the globe. Openly passionate about supporting underground talent, Pär works closely with an ever-expanding repertoire of labels and artists.

As a DJ Pär tours the world, transporting his deft and uniquely dynamic DJ sets to techno fans internationally and on a weekly basis. His worldwide popularity as a performer stems not only from his skill and versatility but also as a result of the energy he puts into every performance. It's this combination that enables him to bring the heat to the best clubs in the world.

Pär continues to serve as one of the most exciting and hardworking contributors to the scene.  Every inch of Pär’s work, including labels, artwork, release info and music, is wrapped with heart and emotion, a quality which keeps the sparkle and curiosity alive within the ever changing adaptations of the artistic world.

Isle of Real's theme is of spaces once inhabited, long since abandoned and reclaimed by the creep of nature.

The ten-track album is the first full-length release for an internationally renowned producer and label owner who has been creating and releasing music for over twenty years.

Isle of Real was written whilst on the road over several months. Nomadic writing sessions on planes and in hotel rooms lead to a collection of demos. These demos later took form in the studio of friend and peer Peder Mannerfelt, where a four day recording session in Stockholm shaped the spine of the album, with Mannerfelt acting as recording assistant. This sharing of resources also resulted in contributions from Roll the Dice on the album’s title track.

As an electronic music devotee who began his artistic career as the owner of a record store in his home town of Stockholm in the 90s, Pär Grindvik has been exploring the world of electronic music for two decades, a history audible on this release. Here Grindvik has gone back to the early UK and US techno labels which formed him as an artist; labels like Evolution, Fragile, Transmat, Network, Rising High and Irdial-Discs.

Isle of Real traverses deliberately between scenes of delicate electronica, tracks like ‘Never Give In’, 'Shine’ and 'Shelter', through into uptempo techno tracks like ‘Limits of Real’, ‘Holy Nothing’ and the anthemic ‘The Marlton’. Dark pools of ambience ‘Isle of Real’ and ‘Tide us Part’ bind the LP, whilst 'Headland' and 'Changes' build upon timeless techno blueprints.

As a body of work Isle of Real demonstrates Grindvik’s talent for melody, bearing hooks which thread through the LP, from its plains to its peaks, and which betray the producer’s mythical influences.

From Another Mind continues to establish itself as an essential label with a fantastic fifth release entitled 'Die Augen Des Teufels' from label bosses SHDW & Obscure Shape. 

Marco Bläsi and Luigi Urban are main room techno talents who make no bones about the size of their sound. Classic techno, rave, EBM and acid all colour their grooves. In 2016 Groove Magazine chose them as Newcomer of the Year', while they have also released their 'Himmel Und Erde EP' on the mighty Rekids, as well as remixing the boss's anthemic 'Grindhouse' in recent months. Two years later,  the duo now follow up 'Die Weiﬂe Rose' - their last original release on From Another Mind - with four tracks that reflect the pair's trademark versatility as producers and the sound they play as DJs. 

Things open in monstrous fashion with the brilliant 'Die Augen Des Teufels.' Built on tightly programmed and unrelenting drums, it has a hypnotic synth line riding about the scales that locks in  your mind while your feet march to the beat. Frazzled synths and icy hi hats add to the pressure and  ensure this one makes a devastating effect. 'Wächter Der Nacht' is equally forceful, with hammering  kick drums and minimal driving percussion joined by a brain frying acid lead synth line that will blow up any DJ set. 

The flip maintains the release's rave-spirit whilst taking things into a more melodic direction. Keeping  up the high class pressure is 'Die Prophezeiung', which has hulking kicks leaning into a stiff wind as  hugely texted synths rumble up top to bring real rawness and impact. This one stays relatively stripped  back and builds atmosphere throughout before closer 'Verlorene Seelen' picks things up again with  quick and slick drums, nimble chords and an irresistible sense of techno force that cannot fail to carry  you away.
