多年的創作歷程中，不少次以朋友為對像/題材寫歌。有時候會想，有人為自己寫歌的感覺是怎樣的呢？？有一天，突然記得原來幾年前我也曾經為自己寫過一首。就在那一年，人生最黑暗、最不如意的一年，我為自己寫下了這首歌...二十歲的我，謝謝你！

離鄉別井到學外留學，雖然不是萬般不願，但也不是欣然接受的決定。當中悟到的道理 - 要珍惜身邊的家人和朋友，是最大的得著。希望憑這首歌，跟所有在異鄉打拼的人打氣，用功讀書，努力工作。雖然過程艱苦，但為了所追求的目標，一切都是值得的。
P.S. 順帶一提，歌詞中的時差，純緒是個人經驗 (香港跟澳州)。雖然說每個人所經歷的都不一樣，不過希望歌詞還是能打動大家的心 =)

arguments like this is childish, there's no right or wrong
it ur heart and effort that matters, coz it gives meaning to the compositions

圖片和兩年前一樣，也是在明志哥的facebook 專頁"借"來的，希望他不會介意。因為覺得這張圖蠻配合這首歌，而且也沒有宣傳到甚麼，盡量的保持中立。寫這首歌的主要原因是明志哥上個月在fb post我上一首歌的時候，很多haters 說「兩年前的歌就別post啦，人家可能已經不支持你啦。」沒有，我還是很支持他的創作，而且要以行動支持。其他要講的，已經在歌裡唱了。
P.S. In case 有人懷疑，因為兩年前有人懷疑過，我真的是香港人啦！！只是可能身邊很多馬來西亞的朋友(或者是聽太多黃明志的歌)，不知不覺陪養出馬來西亞口音了。老實說，英文的口音我是自信可以騙到人，但華文倒是我自己也不覺得很馬來西亞 @.@
