Quintet No. 2

I am a Master of Landscape Architecture Candidate at the University of Virginia focusing on investigations of new materials as facilitator for commoning infrastructures of environmental and spatial justice. My interest and focus in landscape architecture was heavily informed by my time in Pittsburgh, working closely with the community driven responses that strive ameliorate and build on the industrial legacy ever present in the city's land and landscapes. I received a Bachelor of Science and Arts with Honors from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2018 in an interdisciplinary research-driven program, locating a convergence of music composition and neurobiology, focusing on soundscape practices. Looking to expand the limited discourse of the public realm of the post-industrial, I worked with researchers at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts funded by a Fulbright research fellowship for 2018 to 2019, utilizing arts-based field research practice---comprising soundscape recording, photography, and multimedia montage---to interrogate the contradictory transitions of space, time, and place in the post-socialist, post-war cultural landscape.  As of 2018, I have been a member of the collectives Ansambl Restrikcije and Grupa HOD, both based in Novi Sad, Serbia. In complement to my academic work at the University of Virginia, I work as a research assistant for the Arctic Design Group at the University of Vriginia (Matthew Jull and Leena Cho), a research assistant for Matthew Seibert, and a teaching assistant for the FabLab at the University of Virginia.
