Third Space with Breethe Deep - 17.01.2022

Skeet skeet it's numero 19 and this time I've invited Adriana to the gang.

Usually I do a short write up however Adriana described it perfectly herself, so in her own words;

"In my radio shows I usually focus on playing new releases, but the tracks that I went for in this mix is what I ultimately love playing out.

It's all 90s/early 2000s house tracks (with one exception but you could hardly tell). I noticed that when I play vinyl I often reach for the same records over and over out of habit; not just the records, but also specific tracks on them. This mix made me rediscover my collection again, listen to records that I haven't played in ages, and properly listen to tracks that I usually overlook. That's how I ended up playing mostly B sides, although that wasn't the intention when I started recording. Finding a new track that you love on a record that you thought you were almost getting tired of is equally - if not more - exciting than hearing a brand new release.

Playhouse stalwart Peter Kremeier mixes up this week's RA podcast.

Various friends have been asking me about this mix for years, as 'back in the day' it was distributed on cassette tape, and of course, no one knows where their tapes are anymore. Having made two attempts to retrieve the original recording through my DAT boxes, I had resigned to the possibility that it was forever lost. However, a visit to my parents' home last weekend, where most of my records and old studio stuff are, yielded the DAT in the most elusive of locations. Yay! So here's an old one with the some old faves that some will recall. Others might be hearing them for the first time. I hope you enjoy, either way!
