On The Nature

A friend introduced me to I Fight Dragons around 2015/2016, and I immediately fell in love. I was particularly fond of this song, which was cut from their album "Kaboom!", but the only kind of media that really existed of it was a music video showcasing Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds.  I listened to it a ton, but the song got a new breath of fresh air when they released an album of B-Sides called "Side Quest: B-Sides and Rarities".  And that was enough to make me fall in love again.  I also got to hear them play live in 2021 and that was a life-changing experience.

They're a phenomenal band, and I highly recommend looking more into them if you're interested in this sort of thing.

This is my attempt at the song, using chiptune SF2s and re-creating the parts from scratch by ear, as well as playing all the parts myself lol.

tfw your songwriting ability peaked in 2014.

I wrote this very serious love song back in like 2014 to play acoustically during sets with my band, Because Reasons.  Finally giving the song the love and respect it deserves for it's 10 Year Anniversary.

Lovers Lament

A cover of a cover I guess.  Heard this song for the first time in a while about a week ago and had trouble getting it out of my head, so here we are.  Song has been covered a million times, but why not make it a million and one?

Torn (Cover)

Had this idea of a battlefield theme about 10 years ago, wanting to challenge myself to write something in 5/4, but never got far past the first idea. Took me 10 years to get to this point, but I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Idea was more or less for the intro of a game, with some war hero on the battlefield, facing a gauntlet of battles, and this song playing in both the overworld portion, as well as the battle itself. I think I achieved what I wanted to in that regard.
