When I travelled up to my mother's funeral in 2011, I listened to one of John Martyn's “Bless the weather” album, and the song; “Just Now”, stood out to reflect a quiet time , which has an great interweaving piano part with the guitar.

( I started to listening to the song several years later, and it brought me back to the time when travelling to my mother's care home visits and finally her funeral)

It had inspired me to use a good old John Martyn guitar tuning he used, and the same mood and tempo and simplicity for this to my mother. It all becomes a game of watching and waiting towards the end.

99.99999999 percent of the population are just your normal guys who are born, live and then die, without any acknowledgement of even existence, but only to our immediate family. They will never be movie stars, rock stars or TV celebrates, with some final 5 minutes of TV coverage when they pass away, for invariably “just doing their job”, which is what most of the OBE crowd are doing. Unlike the other 99.99999999 percent of us just doing our jobs as well, we don't get any acknowledgement.

The rest of us are just the bread and butter of human “mundality, but just as equally important to one another in our lives that we touch with our own family, that we hope to share our love and friendship with.

I wanted to remember my mother as she was, youthful and full of life, and more importantly loving me as her child and the importance of that responsibility to raise her children as best they can.
