It's early 2017 and the city of Charlotte has been presented with its own home brewed Anthem  collaboration from some of the city's own Hip-Hop and R&B stars. It wasn't long before the two masterminds of the city award winning Hip-Hop group of the year T.U.K The Movement, Mr. Wood$ & KYRK decided to do a "Call and Response" for artists that wanted to be the voice of one of the fastest growing cities in the country. The response was overwhelming and had to be carefully planned out to make sure all the cultures of Charlotte was pointed out and represented in the best way. Mr. Wood$ and KYRK had to find the right chef to cook up the best sauce to pour over the different ingredients involved to create the perfect sound so they reached out to the one and only super producer Krazy Figz and the rest is history.  

After carefully analyzing and understanding the dynamics of the message that they wanted to deliver, the super fantastic four were chosen and these are the names: Akevius - Mr. Dumb Love himself, while taking over the airways with his sensational R&B tones and powerful delivery it only made sense to keep his verse to reach the female audience. Next we have Chezzy Boy the Mr. Young Master P himself delivering the sonic sounds of the streets to captivate the dreams and passion of those that can and will relate to the undeniable struggles. Then we have the voice of the beautiful and multi-talented singer/songwriter Ms. Charnel-Charnel with raw hormonic flow and heart piercing punch lines she executed her space on the track. Let's now reach down into the heart and soul of the city and there you will find and hear the voice and cries of our youth and there you will also find the city's ambassador LiL Richye, he is the future of our city and the chief cub in the den of lyricist that will mark Charlotte as a kingdom of talent. With all that said pay close attention to the formation and formula that these "Buzz City Allstarz" have to offer and will deliver for years to come!!!

HOW THEY CAME TO BE A MOVEMENT.

T.U.K (Turn Up Kings) is a musical fusion and movement formed from multiple genres. Kyrk and Mr. Wood$ collectively will be release their first project "Territory" which is scheduled to dropped at anytime.

 Charlotte, NC—T.U.K. The Album is part of a showcase plan that will feature Powerful songs, Soulful songs, and live creations from the performing artists that make up this multicultural fusion called T.U.K or Turn Up Kings The Movement. When performing artists and friends, Mr. Wood$ and Kyrk met for the first time they immediately saw where their genres and styles could create something new, raw, and dynamic. Each man had within him a muse or represenation of a culture and flavor that the other lacked. Kyrk brought his reggae grooves and Mr. Wood$ added hip-hop and a sense of the sardonic. Throughout their early collaboration they would add in necessary flavors, like that of a visceral chord with the audience.

“This Album is perfectly imperfect,” says Mr. Wood$. “It’s none of that over-processed sound folks are getting from the big labels. Youth are not responding to that anymore. They’re growing up in a dangerous world and they don’t respond well to commercial lies anymore. Kids today want truth and realness, and that is what we brought up with T.U.K”

North Carolina has always been one of the homes to urban sounds. The city’s multicultural attitude is the perfect pot in which to cook up new fusions. The fans who have delivered their support time and time again to live shows and individual singles have been waiting on this collaboration and T.U.K is putting the word out that the Album is coming soon and live shows will follow in support.

“We are proud to say that Territory is coming and we are thankful for our fans support,” says Kyrk. “The live shows are gonna blow people away—we have a plethora of styles to satisfy all lovers of music. We’re here and marking our territory.”
