While creating this set, I focused on staying true to myself by mixing tracks that are my style to the core, while also experimenting with the genre acid. My goal in incorporating acid was to cultivate a softer, more hypnotic vibe that would ease the crowd into a trance like state. From there, I gradually built up the energy with harder hitting tracks to create a dynamic and ever evolving journey.

VIRAGO - ASSYLUM OF BASE SET 16/5

This is my 30 minute set for Black Noir’s Comp (Heat 1).

Putting this together was both a challenge and a joy. I wanted to stay true to my personal sound while keeping the BPM lower to open the night and gradually build the energy. The set tells a story rooted in my own experience, channeling the intense emotions I carried throughout my entire childhood: anger, sadness, anxiety, insane and paranoia.

I'm proud of what I've created, and I hope it resonates with you in some way shape or form too. Huge thanks to Black Noir! performing in the cage has always been a dream, and now it’s finally reality.

What was once a noun used for a brave, heroic woman who stands her ground and is strong enough to speak up for herself. Now the modern term is used to imply a woman is bad tempered, unpleasant and to outspoken.

A word with a meaning that I feel perfectly represents the current state of our society & how people have seen me throughout my years of growing up to who I am today.

I have intense emotions with a mind that never calms, music is the only healthy way that allows me to dispurse all my anger and sadness while putting a smile on my face.
