Opening festivities with a remix of Stimming's 2016-released cinematic slope-climber "Alpe Lusia", Wruhme entices us on the path of electro-powered elation through a Janus-faced roller of a kind. Ruffled beds of electronic convulsion merging as one with the haunting esthers of a euphoric night out, the sanctuarial harbour of a lover's arms, dying sunrays drizzling their spectral light over the skyline's unsympathetic curve; all of this finds itself amorously entwined within this impressionistic tableau in sound that knows the way to your heart, by heart.

Fresh off their April 2022-released debut single on Unreel, German duo Konrad Ritter & NEPH are back at it with "High Hopes", a three-track hike across solar house territories beautifully complemented by a choice remix from Kompakt stalwart Robag Wruhme. True to the pair's ever vivid and colourful approach, a lush palette of summery flavours and organic suavity exudes from this fresher-than-fresh second effort.
The blissed-out, disco-hued opener "Trip City" treats us to a smorgasbord of layered pad swashes, framing our minds in a warm cocoon of sound that spins in and out of focus to the jacking rhythm of early Chicago house drums. Folding out sequences of melodic sublimation and honey-like textural unctuosity thru and thru, a different shade of feelgood-ism innervates "You Are Doing Well", where Ritter and NEPH blend in elements of polyrhythmic Caribbean music with heavily processed vocals and a left-of-centre sense of deep-house escapology.
Rounding off the package on a luminous, typically empowering note, German maestro Robag Wruhme repurposes "You Are Doing Well" into a proper clear-watered slice of shoegaze-y, dreamy elation - perfect for transitional states both on and off the dance- floor, then slowly but surely (and elegantly) cranking up the tempo up a notch until its bass-powered engines take us off up the highest layers of the dance-o-sphere.

For some time now the Bar25 label has wanted to put out a release with all of our Swiss musician friends - the many folks who came to the Swiss Weekends at the Bar and generally made a habit of visiting us in Berlin. The Bar always had a deep Swiss connection, manifested not least in the legendary Swiss Cabin, home away from home to larger groups of visiting friends and Monday evening after-hour hotspot. "Alpenglühen - Feines aus der Schweiz" (Alp Glow - Swiss Bliss) is a swanky double vinyl of high-quality production art made in Switzerland. On vinyl 1, Animal Trainer from Hive Audio share a side with Andri, the Zurich native who is famous for his energetic live set's. Techno gladiator Wandler and live artist Canson play the other side, while vinyl 2 lets two matadors from the new Zurich club Frieda's Büxe - Don Ramon and San Marco - steer for a while. And the two music geniuses from Galoppierende Zuversicht are also here, fittingly, using sounds recorded live at Frieda's Büxe for their track. The sampler concludes with the exceptionally talented Mastra, who contributed a special song to this Swiss musical collage. The digital release also comes with a bonus live track by sublime stage band Rizzoknor. Even the cover was designed in Switzerland, during a Bar25 night at the legendary Cabaret in Zurich. We're all excited about this release since it's a special one for the 25 label. Marked both by good old times and new horizons, this record is a musical compilation representing the very special kind of artist that will always be welcome in wild Berlin!

Melodically complex and with an atmosphere all its own, "The Distance We Share" finds a succinct balance between club tracks and music with meaning. 

"'The Distance We Share' is a homage to human interdependence. Even in the distance, be it psychological or geographical, we need each other to grow and progress. This track has gained a new meaning since the current situation and it’s become even more special to me now."
