Madonna And The Devil captures his 90’s warehouse vibes with a darker afterhours feel. Classic NY Latin percussion grooves reel you in with late night captivating synths and organs. Thumping drums roll in and out of hypnotic rhythm. The EP ends with Eli’s Theme, an ambient tune reveling with arpeggios and 6am melodies.

With Dysnomia, the Brooklyn-based group Dawn of Midi made up of double bass player Aakaash Israni, pianist Amino Belyamani and drummer Qasim Naqvi abandon improvisation in favour of composition, utilising sophisticated rhythmic structures from North and West African folk traditions to weave a sonic tapestry of trance-inducing grooves. From close up one may see only dots, but when stepping back an undulating image reveals itself. “We didn’t want to create anything cerebral,” says Belyamani, “we wanted something visceral, something that would awaken our instinctive dance impulses.” 

“We wanted to make a record that sounded both musically futuristic and sonically vintage,” explains Israni, “and since the album never saw a proper international release, it is very exciting to see what might happen when more people are exposed to it. And to be aligned with Erased Tapes, whose enthusiasm for the music they release has done a lot for exposing unique instrumental and electronic music, makes it that much more interesting.”

Following on from their Record Store Day ‘Looped EP’ release, which featured remixes by Dauwd and Lubomyr Melnyk, Kiasmos – made up of Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen – return with three new tracks and a remix by Tale Of Us.

Recorded in various locations including Reykjavík and Berlin, the EP opens with ‘Drawn’, a four-minute percussion fuelled track with gentle piano motifs. ‘Gaunt’ features the addition of ambient synths and a drum loop, underpinned by slow-moving chords. Title track ‘Swept’ which the duo offered to fans as a surprise gift in form of a free download card at previous show dates, showcases a more club-oriented beat structure alongside Kiasmos’ signature emotive instrumentation. 
 
Closing the EP is a remix from Berlin-based duo Tale of Us who met Kiasmos in London and twist the original downbeat title track
into their distinctively dark aesthetic. Pulsating hats and a driving bass loop add pace as the track builds toward an epic breakdown.

The ‘Swept EP’ will be released on 12”/DL via Erased Tapes on November 20th, 2015.

Having reworked Joey Negro’s 2005 classic "Make A Move On Me" to direct attention to Fenton's August 2015 release "What We Do".
 
It did more than just that.
 
Within 24 hours of posting it on Soundcloud as a bootleg, it was getting radio play on Kiss FM and Capital Extra and DJs from all over the world were downloading and supporting.
 
It also captured the attention of a couple of labels, and within a couple of weeks Fenton signed the track to Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto records.
 
Having polished the production and had the vocals re sung by Vicky Jackson, the official release is set to be a dance floor filler!

"Radiometric Dating EP is an ancestral voyage through a lost world, where the life concept as we know it has no value. Imagine a hard and unstable land, where the first process of photosynthesis enriched our atmosphere with oxygen, making the birth of complex organisms possible. A young sun heated the colorful rocks and the first rains evaporated, falling in magma rivers."

Specialivery says he clashed with the sounds and imagery from that bygone era in one of his interstellar trips between dark matter and hyperspace. In Radiometric Dating EP he proposes again the beauty and cynicism of that lost world in three historical-techno phases, rich in millenarian emotions and ancestral sensations that were crucial for the development of planet Earth. Specialivery is able to reconfirm (after Babilonia EP and Aton EP) a rare and unique techno based on the transmission of images rather than classical structural aspect, curating and dosing every frequency of his tracks, with the purpose of creating an inter-planetary-historical rave experience.

Radiometric dating is the strongest and fastest track, a techno rave anthem describing the exploration of an enormous world, empty and very hard. The B side is titled Accurate estimate of Earths age. A nocturnal and ancestral trip to a young and lifeless Earth, that enjoyed the show of a dynamic starred sky, like no human has ever seen. Keuper strata is the ambient track that remains fundamental. The slow and almost repetitive rhythm, together with its greasy, sluggish, yet profound sounds, reminds us of the tardiness of planet Earth in its magnificent evolution.
