Tundra Spring Sounds Set (2021)

This set of ambient and chillgressive music was performed at Dragon Dreaming Festival between 5am - 7:30am on Sunday 3rd April 2022 on the Fire Stage.

Sub:Internal Dragon Dreaming Set (2022)

This set was performed at Dave and Ali's Love Party in April 2022. The set was played on a private beach near Potato Point at sunrise. It was a magical night for all of us and it was a honor to be there to celebrate their love.

This set took me a couple of months to prepare and represents some of my highest creativity to date as it fuses together genres with different bpms into a coherent and integrated whole. The energy and flow of the mix is sustained whilst the tempo changes. I am defining this style as "New Era Morning Psy" as it breaks the psy-trance up into distinct chunks with ambient and chillgressive interludes. I am hoping to play more sets in this style in the future.

Tundra - Decompression Set (2024)

Sub:Internal is a ritual / dark ambient compilation designed to facilitate deepened awareness and integration of the shadow self. It provides a sonic and sub-sonic ambient soundscape to facilitate shadow meditation.

The three-hour sonic journey can be conceptualized as a journey into the underworld, or as the Hero's journey. There are three phases. 1. The Descent. 2. The Abyss. 3. The Return.

Guiding the seeker on the journey is Goddess Hekate. Hekate is a lunar and underworld Goddess associated with the dark of the moon. The recording was created in a ritualistic setup, between the hours of 12am and 3am, on the 29/09/2018. The 29th day of each month is sacred to Hekate. Hekate's energy is clearly and directly infused into the music.

This recording may bring up powerful and painful feelings for people. Some parts of the recording are exceptionally dark and confronting and may induce fear, dislike or horror. It is recommended that people follow the soundtrack through from start to end as the final few tracks serve to return the listener back out from the underworld journey. The optimal time to listen to the music is between 12am and 3am. The music is not effective during the day.

This compilation took me two months of work to complete. I listened to approximately two thousand tracks in that time in order to find the final twenty that feature on this compilation. Most of the listening was done late at night. During the preparation, on several times spiritual entities would gather in the room where I was listening. Most of these entities are nocturnal spirits, cthonic or subterranean spirits, and underworld spirits. 

I cannot guarantee that listening to this music will not create similar experiences for you, and you listen to this compilation at your own risk. My recommendation however, is to progress on the journey with a spirit of fortitude. If you are joined on the journey by others, the appropriate stance, regardless of the circumstances, is polite respect and honest acknowledgment of the spiritual presence. Hekate is there to protect you from harm. I recommend the use of Obsidian crystal throughout the meditation for additional protection. There should be no artificial light. A black candle is effective. Sandalwood and Myrrh are effective incenses.

The Halls of Amenti are not a figment of imagination. They are an actual place. They are referred to in Book 2 of the Emerald Tablets.

The Halls could be described as a living library, a crystaline repository, where all the records of everything that has happened on this Earth, past and present, is stored. It is a place of memory. It is similar to but not the same as the Akashic Records.

If you are lucky enough to be invited in to view the Halls, you may gain access through a portal into the Earth, or perhaps through space. The Halls cannot be seen by a telescope, as they are 5D, but never-the-less they are there. Once there, you can walk down a central corridor with what appears to be infinitely high skyscrapers on either side. You can travel up one of these skyscrapers to access a crystaline record, stored like a file in a filing cabinet. You can open this file, and see what happened in the past. Not only do you view it, but you can feel and hear it, as if you were there. I saw war councils from WW2, and with those you could feel the tension in the room, you could see how decisions were made, what pressure the participants were under at the time, and how things came to pass. Other memories are there also.

The Halls convey a strong sense of timelessness. All memories are honored and valued equally as sovereign. The Halls are not part of universal oneness and cannot be reached through impersonal Brahman realization. This is a special place, with special laws. It is simultaneously both inside creation and outside of it. Visitors from all over the galaxy come to visit the Halls. They come to see how things came to pass.

This mix is my attempt to capture the essence of my trip to the Halls in sonic form, so that others may also get a sense of it. This is the first mix of 2, and lasts for about 2 hours. This mix starts from the beginning, when Gaia left the galactic core, and showcases Her journey to this distant spiral arm in the Milky Way Galaxy. It shows the cooling Earth and the raw power of nature. It speaks of a time when when wild beasts roamed the Earth, up to the development of primitive man. The first encounters with religion and magick, and the early development of humanity up to the present day.

Many of the tracks fall into the genre of Dark Ambient, but the aim is fundamentally to capture that sense of timelessness, space and nostalgia. There is a periodic theme of beauty emerging from darkness. The mix provides a good backdrop or soundscape to other activities, such as studying, journaling or meditating, and I have found personally that I tend to drift into something else rather than stay actively engaged whilst listening to it. That said, the programming for the mix has taken a long time, about a year in fact, to get right. Capturing the essence of such a place turned out to be exceptionally difficult. I had trouble finishing the mix, and started over several times.

Sub:Internal The Halls Of Amenti (2020)

Tundra - Is the progressive psy-trance project of Adam van Apeldoorn (formerly DJ Incongruous) from Canberra, Australia. Reflecting the wild and remote mountainous environments which he loves, the Tundra sound brings a positive, melodic and high-flow psychedelic sound of 135-145bpm to the dance floor, providing both energy and upliftment. Sometimes this sound will go big and be reminiscent of something you might hear day-time at Boom Festival. At other times, it will drop deeper and provide a smooth progressive ride suitable for times of transition between night and day. It attempts to capture a higher dimensional energy and anchor it in sonic form, with subtle references to esoteric spirituality weaved in, and deeper themes proliferating throughout the music. It is both creatively mixed and unique, forged from over twenty years of listening to psychedelic and progressive music.

Sub:Internal - Is an ambient, chillgressive and downtempo project featuring sounds that range from 0-120 bpm. This project focuses on helping the listener access deeper and more introspective states that facilitate integration of the shadow self. This sound suits chill stages or main stages for opening and closing sets.
