Music is like a time machine, albeit without the need for plutonium or speeding to 88 mph, It has the power to evoke vivid memories and summon long forgotten ones with the first few bars of a song.

So as music fans, we (the authors of this blog) used to all get together, crack open a bottle of wine/beer and listen to music, recounting memories and anecdotes about the songs, until the wee small hours. It was something we used to do on a fairly regular basis but alas due to work, geographical constraints are unable to do it as often as we'd like to. This is how the idea of this blog was conceived, a continuation of sorts, a place where we could keep on sharing the songs old and new that were making us tick.

But it's not just about us, we're a story telling species so we're interested to know about your favourite memories, your favourite songs and favourite gigs etc. Do you have a gem out there that we need to know about?
