Last year I got a dm through twitter, which I barely used then, asking about my thoughts on a collab and a few tracks I should check out. Nine-times out of ten those messages don't make any sense and you know, just to be polite I'll be like "nah I'm busy but maybe in the future blah blah". Well, this was the exception, the one out of ten that had potential and what started a long string of messages on twitter and discord that somehow lead up to this. 

Vaque (They/Them) is one of those people that you can get along with instantly. Always excited about music, great at giving positive feedback to projects that sound like 💩, and someone who's music is reflective of who they are. Their tunes are always really fresh sounding, blending classic liquid DNB styles with different colors and sounds, which is what reeled me in in the beginning. We still haven't worked on anything together but it's one of those things that'll have to happen in the future. That's how this all started in the beginning anyway ☜(ﾟヮﾟ☜)

Brazilian D&B producer Bungle has dropped new EP ‘Runaway', out 1st September via the rising Eloisa Records.

The three track EP begins with title track ‘Runaway’ that see’s a rolling and grit fuelled bassline interject superbly with sharp and snappy percussion. Things take a deeper and darker turn with ‘Unleashed’ as technical and expansive atmospherics run rampant throughout the tune as the drums chop and change exquisitely. Seeing things home is an industrial growler, and not one for the faint hearted. The aptly name ‘Articulate’ is Bungle at his best and will no doubt be a choice cut for DJs across the drum & bass spectrum. 

‘Runaway’ marks the fifth release on the burgeoning Eloisa, the fresh  imprint ‘on a mission to surpass barriers in the D&B scene’. Under the Inperspective Music Group umbrella, the label is determined to instil some fresh energy across the genre. Knowing no limits in its expression or style of the broad drum & bass genre, the only thing we can be sure of is that whatever they release, it will be quality.

Having released on the likes of 31, Critical, Spearhead, C.I.A and Soul:R to name a few, real name André Oliveira Sobota aka Bungle has consistently represented the highest echelons of drum & bass music.

Bristol based T-Kay steps up and delivers a rock solid EP that rolls heavy. Every track is infused with skull snapping breaks, dubbed out vocals, lick shot sirens, acid drenched top synths, and 808 heavy b-lines that are guaranteed to rattle your chest. Inspired by old school Reggae sound clash and classic Jungle, T-Kay provides simple, high quality Drum & Bass replete with fat analog mix downs reminiscent of the sound of the samplers and gear used back in the day.
