Les êtres-tambour ont la peau tellement fine qu’elle frémit, 
sensible au moindre souffle de brise.

Les êtres-tambour ont la peau qui se tend et vibre, amplifie les couleurs de la vie sur tous les tons. Sur tous les temps.

Ils ont le cœur qui  palpite, palpite et frissonne, caressé par les ondes des tendresses vagabondes.
 
Les êtres-tambour tremblent, quand les cris dissonants les transpercent et déchirent jusqu’au profond des tripes. Les êtres-tambour tremblent.

Les êtres-tambour rêvent, silencieux, d’un doux cocon ouaté qui estompe le monde et d’une ombre portée pour prendre le relais et absorber le vent. 

Alors, en attendant, l’impossible ou la fin, ils résonnent et résonnent, et rien, jamais, ne pourra réprimer leur murmure et leur chant.

This is my response to this week's @naviar-records haiku challenge. Here's the details about that:

'The first thunder
Is likely to shake
The tiered doll stand.'

Like Santoka and Seisensui, Kawahigashi Hekigoto (1873-1937) was an important advocate of the free verse haiku.
Besides being a writer and critic of haiku, Hekigoto was a literary scholar, noh dancer, art critic, calligrapher, social commentator, and mountain climber.
