French poet René Char has this word about love that it is a "sereine crispation" - i.e. a serene tension or tightening, which I think might often apply to music as well: tension, intention, and sensuality. Both lack, longing - and communion. The title "las protundidades" is from a poem by Isaure Saint-Martin: "Como la flor mira el sol, Como el mar mira las profundidades, Mi corazon solo ve a ti."
