It's been one year since Justin Miller launched HAKT Recordings. 

This December, the label and two of its rising stars look back on Year One in a special Have A Killer Time showcase. Taking place at Cameo Gallery, the evening's lineup includes Sydney's Tunnel Signs and a LIVE performance by French-born/London-based producer Abstraxion along with a special set by head honcho Justin Miller. Earlier this year, Tunnel Signs returned with 'Dream City' EP while Abstraxion released his debut LP, 'Break of Lights' via HAKT. Both records have gone on to receive widespread acclaim from both critics and fans. 

In honor of the label's 2013 success, HAKT invites you to celebrate this Saturday, December 14.

Tunnel Signs is the nom de plume of Australian born lover, fighter and romantic, Ash Moses. With a taste for playing and producing records that embrace the darkness, Moses parts the sea and finds the wonky middle ground between reverb drenched postpunk, hypnotic techno and spaced out disco. Having previously seen releases on labels such as IOHYOU!, Clouded Vision and Cut Copy’s Cutters Records his current focus has been his well received project alongside Barney Kato as Barney In The Tunnel. Their debut self titled EP on Berlin label Cashminus has been supported by the likes of Skatebard, Paul Woolford, Lauer, Gerd Janson, Simon Caldwell, Massimiliano Pagliara, Session Victim, Ian Pooley, Eluize and many more as well as being the soundtrack to an international ad campaign for Pandora.

Glasgow-based imprint Darkroom Dubs release 'Soft Chewing Voice' from Sydney-based producer Tunnel Signs...Our pick for the premiere is 'Soft Chewing Voice'. Infused with the right touch of acid experiments, the track opens with a meticulously sculpted rack of percussive murmurs and resonant kick-drums, gradually spiralling into a delirious onslaught of FX-laden frequencies. A lover of both the brooding and the beautiful, Moses crafts tracks that exist between the shadows of reverb-drenched post-punk, hypnotic techno, and cosmic disco. His early releases found a home on labels like IOHYOU!, Clouded Vision and Cut Copy’s Cutters Records.

Moses has continued to evolve his sound with recent releases on Darkroom Dubs, the legendary label founded by Silicone Soul and has teamed up with enfant terrible DJ Reenie for a collaboration on the iconic Motorik label. His music has earned support from influential figures like Skatebard, Paul Woolford, Gerd Janson, James Murphy, Massimiliano Pagliara and even landed as the soundtrack for an international ad campaign for Pandora through his Barney In The Tunnel project with Sydney/Eora hero Barney Kato.

With a knack for balancing disassociated depth and infectious dancefloor energy, Moses's work as Tunnel Signs continues to carve out a unique space in the global electronic scene.
