I've been messing around with the Korg M1 Legacy VSTi for a bit, it's pretty nice. You get some really cool vintage sounds pretty easily.

I'm going to mess around and upload some more stuff here when I can. For the time being, this song is available for you to download!

edit: I did a quick update here, I realised that dBlue Glitch still makes noise when there's no sound to be processed - it was making a nasty bass tone with didn't work with the rest of the song. Also added a bit of automation here and there.

Serves me right for trying to squeeze this out before my driving lesson.

I was working on this one for a long time. The mastering on this is kind of wacky, I'm getting to grips with a new plugin so please bear with me.

Edit: Re-mixed the entire song, used a lot more gain automation.

Darklands

Ok, so sorry I haven't uploaded anything in a LOOOONG time. This thing has been kept under wraps for a while but it's now here on Soundcloud!

This might not even end up in the final game; it's currently sitting as temporary level 1 music.

When I saw the screens for Spark I thought it looked great and reminded me a bit of Lomax the Lemming for some reason. I decided to compose something that would fit in that game with a bit of an electric vibe.

The chord progression came pretty quickly, I like its simplicity and the song ended up kind of writing itself.

Sorry it's been a while! I hit a major dry spot and haven't been able to produce anything that has really met my standards.

I started listening to Tim Follin's Time Trax stuff as well as things like the Valis III soundtrack; I then got inspired to play around with FM8 and try and get some Megadrive sounds.

I didn't intend to make a full track but here it is!

This isn't really a chiptune per se, I've probably gone beyond the Megadrive's capabilities but I reckon with a bit of tweaking you could definitely get this sounding very similar on an actual Megadrive.

Ok so here's another Megadrive-style track. This one was hanging around for a year before getting finished. I'm pretty chuffed with the result.

Back in 2010, I decided I wanted to be a composer. I started writing chiptunes in OpenMPT and ended up writing three tracks for an imaginary Gameboy game called "Anders' Quest".

Here I am, 8 years later, going through my old music folders and I find these tracks. They were interesting but lacked chordal structure and direction so I decided to re-compose them. So here is "Mystic Forest", the first of three tracks.

I exclusively used Plogue Chipsounds for instrument plugins; mixing used ReaPlugins, Toneboosters Ferox, Waves RCompressor and Waves L1 Limiter.

Overkill for a bloody chiptune isn't it?

Based on the work I did with my Anders' Quest remakes, I decided to make something from scratch and here we go.

Wasn't too bothered about channel limitations so just used Delay sends rather than nitty grittying all the details.
