noodle (she/her)

Drawing from her experiences of Shanghai’s anomalous underground music scene; Leeds’ heady parties and Edinburgh’s close-knit community, noodle promises sets infused with rare, groove-infused tech house, sparkly, driving minimal and euphoric progressive house. The past year has seen noodle perform in London and Edinburgh, alongside underground artists including Craigie Knowes for Club Signal and Loa Szala for Pleasure.

Her collection is also strongly influenced by Edinburgh’s supportive, close-knit scene and the GRDN sound, making her unapologetically obsessed with stripped-back, minimal, dubstep.

As well as helping run 2-day festival Subterranean Sound, she also runs a monthly radio show on Edinburgh’s community radio station, EHFM, where she meanders playfully through her softer side: whether its hypnagogic ambient, rare 90’s hip-hop or twinkly house music.


Notes on the Mix ///

"one of the (many) motivations to learn how to dj was to be able to create hour long mixes which could soundtrack runs. i really love the combination of movement and feeling the physical cogs of my body turn to spacey, uplifting, 4x4 beats. this mix opens with romantic ambience before progressing into sexy, house cuts. running and clubbing alike, it’s good to turn the dial up when you get into a flow and want to sustain your pace. the second half of this mix aims to inject that pump, just like you’d need on a run or on the dance floor: and nothing does that better for me than long, driving, progressive house from the early 2000’s."
