The burbles I love the burbles.  I hope the filters get a good cleaning after this.

I like ambient/drone/soundscapes where there is also something going on with various samples of interesting places/things along with some melodic(?) elements. Just like this. Reminds of a similar drone track i did myself once. But this sounds like a much better version.

Very good sound, it's not harsh as sometimes such drones can be. It was actually quite enjoyable to listen. Nice work.

Kagami Shikō was a Japanese poet, considered one of the ten outstanding disciples (Shōmon jittetsu 蕉門十哲) of Matsuo Bashō. He was in turn the master of the famous poetess Fukuda Chiyo-ni.

Originally from the present-day Gifu Prefecture, Kagami Shikō became a monk at Daichi-ji Temple, and in 1690 he became a pupil of Bashō, later accompanying him on some of his journeys and recording his last will in 1694.

After Basho's death, he kept travelling around Japan, writing several essays on haiku and collections of writings until his death in 1731.

This is a remix of the 1920 recording of 'Nina' by Hans Kindler. i cut the track into sections and remixed, then created three layers, one consisting of the surface noise at the beginning and end, repeated and stretched. I made alterations to pitch and tempo then added grains, delay, reverb, echo, etc.

I've become addicted to drone. Again. I was the kid with his head on the piano, listening to the overtones die away, or pressing his ear to the steel hull of the ferry, enthralled by the sounds it created. I was the kid who formed wordless songs to accompany the sound of train wheels on a long journey, or hummed along with the fan on a hot day.

In the 60s I used to play my 45s on 16, or backwards, or by hand using razor blades as stylii.

I made cut-up tapes on a cheap cassette recorder in the 70s and experimented with reel-to-reel in the 80s.

I am not a musician. I am a scavenger of sounds. I use the most basic software to process those sounds, stretching and filtering until something emerges that makes a joyful noise. Or not...
