Appearance on this compilation album, an extract of all that is left from my track ""Merging Impulses"" An eleborate work using Ainu chants, percussion, strings and other instruments,. The work was recorded in the ""impulse response"" of the inside of a dryer.

It touches on the various soundscapes that we evoked.

Dancing For The Wind

A part of me lives in the seventies, even if I was just a small fart back then. In some way I felt the world was better then, people was looking forward, education, evolution and the future. Now people seams to seek towards the middle ages, what happened to the dreams? 
 We used to meet, a couple of friends. We mainly sat down, played music and didn't say many words, just listened to the music and felt the world was a great place. Maybe some of my best memories.

I've become addicted to drone. Again. I was the kid with his head on the piano, listening to the overtones die away, or pressing his ear to the steel hull of the ferry, enthralled by the sounds it created. I was the kid who formed wordless songs to accompany the sound of train wheels on a long journey, or hummed along with the fan on a hot day.

In the 60s I used to play my 45s on 16, or backwards, or by hand using razor blades as stylii.

I made cut-up tapes on a cheap cassette recorder in the 70s and experimented with reel-to-reel in the 80s.

I am not a musician. I am a scavenger of sounds. I use the most basic software to process those sounds, stretching and filtering until something emerges that makes a joyful noise. Or not...
