We gathered, strengthened, listened and received the gift of quiet. We landed at home in our own hearts. This class reminds us that we are never alone, and that no matter where we are, we are on the path, and right at home.

From Bremen, northern Germany, Massud Matin is coming up on Tupiar Records Limited with a great EP named LIKE YOU, featuring 2 of his own original tracks and 2 remixes from his analog addicts: Modebaku and Kaitaro.
Massud has a deep history going back to his days in the electronic community since 2007, as part of I.C.Records , respectively. even so,he pushes beyond his combined discographies to date, ﬂexing impossibilities, building rhythms from arrhythmia, teasing veiled textures from bold iterations of Synth Patterns. his distinctive fusion of sculpturing through shapeshifting software, programming subtractive and matrix modular synthesis to create playful shivering digital textures wich oscillate with and against algorithmically mapped percussion samples; smeared synthetic chords levitate in the distance; stabs of digital noise punctuate the mix in twitchy; time-distorting patterns; the deliberation and control over distinctive textures and particles is obsessive; the end results of each individual track unfold with an organic temperament. 

The cover art is painted with acrylic on canvas by romanian artist Elly S Oproiu, founder of Soul Drops and music enthusiast brought on board by the overall designer Mihai Dafinoiu, together making this exquisite release one of a kind with a little surprise on the inside.

Of Italian origins but born and raised in Switzerland Fulvio Calà (https://soundcloud.com/flv-c) made his first contact with music already in his early childhood, fascinated by the immense record collection of his father, the headphones always on ears, he plunged into this whole new world that accompanies him day by day and always raises new feelings and emotions.
Fascinated by the deep and profound musical notes, it was love at the first sight. Music ever since is part of his daily life.
His productions are a mixture of minimalistic deepness combined with percussive elements, always focused on the groove and beauty of music. "For the past ten years now, I’ve celebrated my birthdays by inviting all my favorite cats to play – we started off at Kater Holzig before moving to our home at Kater Blau in 2015. For the first time since it started, and for obvious reasons, 43 Katzen tanzen auf’m Tisch won’t be happening, on what would have been the tenth anniversary of the series.

I’ve been wondering for a while now how I can make up for the missed year - streams already feel a bit outdated, and you just can’t imagine the vibe of the event without actually being there, getting beautifully lost in those days and nights, hugging old friends and making new ones. You can’t even explain that feeling, so you definitely can’t live-stream it.

Instead, this year 43 Katzen tanzen auf’m Tisch will be a compilation of some of the amazing artists from the past ten years, and even some of the new faces I would have booked this year. In a way, it’s the perfect souvenir of all the nights we’ve had so far, and an idea of what to look forward to in all the nights to come at Kater Blau somewhere in the future.

The compilation will be split into two sections: Heinz Hopper and Acidbogen, reflecting the two floors of Kater Blau, each with their own special flavor and sound. The whole record is programmed the way I would schedule the artists across the two floors for my birthday, warming up at the start before things start getting more intense later on. I guess you could say it’s a concept album, in which the audience wanders into our lovely little circus on the river Spree, and experiences one of my birthdays from start to finish, split across both floors of Kater Blau.

Much like my parties and my sets, the idea is for the listener to get lost in these tracks and to experience them as a whole piece. At the end of it all you leave with a feeling that maybe, just maybe, cats & music were the answers after all. Even in times like these."
