Grandiose Sets

For this weeks podcast we welcome a fantastic emerging new talent from Belgium in the shape of Kill Frenzy. Releasing tracks from the tender age of 17 Kill Frenzy aka Sébastien starting producing music after being introduced to the the sounds of Chicago and Detroit and it wasn’t long before his own productions started to generate serious waves within the scene; seeing him release on the infamous Dust Traxx label of Chicago and the legendary Dj Godfather’s label Juke trax.

After generating a serious amount of hype within the house scene Kill Frenzy then began working on a number of other different styles working on fresh productions for a variety of labels within different genres whilst retaining his trademark ‘booty house’ edge. 2012 was then a big year for the young Belgian as he debuted on Claude Vonstroke’s Dirtybird imprint with ‘Booty Clap’ featuring DJ Funk in a release that became widely known across the world and firmly enrolled him into the Dirtybird crew. So with a performance at Sankeys Ibiza lined up for the 29th of August and a fresh EP  entitled ‘Go To The Mo’ about to drop following a hectic transatlantic tour where among other partys he played at the Dirty bird Party at mezzanine, S.F,  Hard Summer L.A. and Blue, Detroit before heading to Europe to play the at gigs such as Tomorrowland, Pukkelpop, Social Club, I love Techno, Fuse, Extrema outdoor, ADE, Groove City,Les Ardentes and Laundry day we were pleased he managed to take some time out of his busy schedule to deliver this mix for us. So crank up the volume and get ready to move your body to the ‘booty house’ sounds of Kill Frenzy…

ANDREAS RAUSCHER (Rummel / rauschgift.berlin)

„I don’t measure myself in terms of fame, but on people’s acceptance. Sure, I have grown, but still knowing, where I stand. Most important for me is bringing pure sound-bliss to my listeners.“ (A.Rauscher.)

"KaterHolzig, Sisyphos, Chalet, Tresor, Rummels Bucht – this short list of Berlin based clubs, where Andreas Rauscher convinced and moved the crowd sure reads like a „who is who“ of the local techno scene. Even though Mr. Rauscher is a deep tech specialist with his powerful never heard before sets and his relaxed attitude behind the decks, he isn’t even from or living in Berlin. But it will happen pretty soon after his massive success in Germanys Capital. We will be waiting for him!

His sound will invite the crowd to dance, even if it is embedded in a dark, melancholic base. You will feel the uncompromising quality in every piece of music he chooses. No doubt about his seriousness on the decks, when his sound hammers throughout the sacred club-site. Every day and each night he works hard on his musical skills. That’s the main reason why he was able to convince a spoiled Berlin audience in just a couple of summer months and become a well-known face to his urban DJ-mates.

Born in the wild 70ies, early dedicated to Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk, he discovered Techno one night over 20 years ago, stayed with the vibe and fell in love with the idea to be a creative part of the scene - one of the reasons why he once owned a pretty legendary techno club in Bavaria.

Today he is on the run, playing everywhere: In Munich, Augsburg, Frankfurt and around the globe: From London to Greece, Thailand to Czech Republic. Among all these club dates you will find him DJing at countless Open Airs and Festivals.

While spinning tunes he will expect something similar from his audience than he does from himself: Just let yourself be sucked into the stomping und pumping of his tunes, close your eyes and speak one common language: MUSIC.

Kein entkommen ist mehr möglich und Blitz & Donner hypnotisieren uns so sehr, dass wir nicht mehr tun können als einfach nur regungslos da zu stehen obwohl es in unserem Inneren wild brodelt.

LIVE@ Habitat Festival 2019

Als ich nach Monaten der Vorbereitungszeit das erste Mal am Donnerstag Abend in der Saloppen Katatonie stand und sie live&in Farbe in Betrieb gesehen habe bin ich vor Freude in Tränen ausgebrochen und @kotterzuer Basti um den Hals gefallen. Es war unglaublich zu sehen, wie alles, was wir an Liebe und Arbeit in dieses Projekt gesteckt haben auf einmal auf Rädern steht und fährt....und wieeeeeee Oida!!! hahahaa.... als ich dann am Ende des Festivals auch noch in dieser total verrückten Saloppen spielen durfte war ich auf jeden Fall ziemlich happy.

Ich bin überglücklich über das, was wir geschafft und geschaffen haben und möchte einfach nur Danke dafür sagen dass wir gemeinsam diese Utopie zur Realität gemacht haben!

 Es war ultra magisch!!!

Viel Spaß beim Anhören vom Set und in Erinnerungen schwelgen!
