Step into the World of Ennio Morricone: Relive Iconic Movie Soundtracks with SWAM String Sections recreations. Experience the Magic of Cinema Through Music, as we honor the legendary Maestro's timeless compositions. As usual, no samples were harmed in playing this composition. 

"Deborah's Theme" is the main theme of the soundtrack from "Once Upon a Time in America," composed by the great Ennio Morricone. Its harmonic richness, with the typical inner voice movements, makes it a perfect piece for the use of SWAM String Sections, both for the quality of the performance and the sound exploration.

In this virtual environment, all SWAM String Sections are brought to life using advanced Audio Modeling technologies such as Room Simulator and Spazializer. These cutting-edge tools meticulously replicate the acoustic reflections within the room, faithfully following its geometry and absorption characteristics.

Instrumentation and Arrangement:

Violins I: 2 sections of SWAM Violin Section (6 violins)
Violins II: 2 sections of SWAM Violin Section (6 violins)
Violas: 2 sections of SWAM Viola Section (5 violas)
Cellos: 2 sections of SWAM Cello Section (5 cellos)
Double Basses: 1 section of SWAM Double Bass Section (5 double basses)

Choosing a larger room in the room simulator, less absorbent materials, and a wider placement of both sections and the virtual microphone (Mic Position) allows for a realistic reverb that smoothly blends the voices of the first violins, second violins, and violas. On the other hand, the cellos and double basses support and emphasize these harmonies with a single sustained note, gradually but consistently increasing. Clear equalization (brightness gain), especially for the violins, combined with the organization of the sections and the room dimensions, creates the typical timbre found in orchestral string arrangements in film soundtracks.

For us they are often just numbers communicated by the media, but what happens to them once they arrive? They often disappear, like ghosts….Who are they? , Where they come from ? , What did they do in their country? , What are they looking for? What are they running from?

99 African Women is a musical NFT that talks about migrant women: poor, rich, healthy, sick, Muslim, Catholic, animist, Orthodox, living in cities, in villages, in countryside, on the edge of rivers, on the sea, in the forest , sorceresses, witches, healers, nurses, doctors, graduates, computer scientists, workers, unemployed, prostitutes, drug addicts, homeless, models, photographers, girls, mothers, grandmothers, guerrillas, terrorists, soldiers, musicians, dancers, cooks, hungry, thirsty , hunters, sporty, sad, happy, thoughtful, scared, raped, wounded….

Music: it is a tribute to the English jazz pianist Keith Tippett (King Crimson, Centipede, Ark, Ovary Lodge), a great musician who passed away in June 2020, with whom I had the pleasure of playing in several live concerts.
