Exploited Club warmly welcomes back Mexican talent Levantine who follows up his previous Acid Infatuation EP on Exploited Club with another dose of his trademark sound: a deft interweaving of Eurodance and Italo - this time with the addition of a some sultry Spanish vocals.  

The backbone of 'Adicción De Amor' is a kit of rich, full spectrum drums that land with seismic force. They form a stout foundation for the track while a climbing, dynamo synth riff loops through over the top and a delicate spoken vocal floats with a contrastingly subtlety touch.

A fervid tension continues to course as high frequency FX and drum fills are expressively scattered and splashed before an Italo remix provides another side to the coin.

Slightly slowed and stripped back, the energy marches toward a spacious breakdown that creates a void for the vocals before the burly drums bite back with full force and an LFO sends the synth line flickering like a strobe throughout the conclusion of a classy record that melds retrograde synthesis with sharp, punchy sonics.

Argentinian talent Cosmosolar makes a vibrant return to the Espacio Cielo imprint with his “El Rarito” EP, a two-original offering that masterfully walks the line between the shadowy allure of Dark Disco and the rhythmic pulse of Indie Dance. Both the title track and "Rotorhead" are expertly crafted, built on a foundation of compelling percussion and polished, high-quality production that commands attention on the dance floor. For Renaissance Man's first single off their Turbo debut LP, we've assembled a team of remixers whom we felt could live up to the playful intelligence of the original. The result is a pack befitting one of the best electronic albums of the year, a MENSA-level dissection of contemporary dance music that builds on the Finnish duo's previous releases on Dubsided, Sound Pellegrino and Made to Play.

 

To begin with, we enlisted a personal hero of the Renaissance Man boys - legendary producer Herbert - who offers up a subtle, atmospheric take, adding his own vocals and introducing an esoteric pop sensibility. Scottish producer (and Thom Yorke name-checkee) Sei A checks in with a hypnotic techno groove bomb. UK vet Paul Woolford strikes a balance between wobble acid and melodic piano hooks. Hot Turbo prospects Gingy & Bordello create a slow-burner that straddles the horse that rides between ambient and banger. Finally, we've also included an instrumental version that gives the track's unsung heroes - the instruments - a chance to shine.

Turbo Recordings was founded by Tiga in Montreal back in 1998. “We started out singing into plastic bags and shipping them to stores as quickly as possible. Later, we discovered that vinyl sounds way better when delivered by kayak. I learned so much the first few years…Now, as I look towards the future, I can envision music for poor people, sonic odors for the hearing impaired, even MP3s for women....Vroom, sucka!” says Tiga, the lyrical lampsman lighting the way down Dance Avenue.
