Around three years ago we stumbled across a remix of Daniel Avery's 'Water Jump' that left us speechless. It was by a pretty much unknown artist called Dimitri Veimar and it got Avery's seal of approval, as well as ours.

Since that bootleg dropped, he's been working away and crafting more mechanical tech wonders so it seems fitting that his next release arrives via Omnidisc, one of our favourite labels around.

We’d like to tell you we discovered him when he and his friends shot down our Eurasian Outreach Ableton Tutorial Helicopter for being “too condescending,” but the truth is actually much simpler. Veimar is merely fluent in the universal language of floor-filling, one that transcends borders and skin-crawling descriptions alike. It is a primal tongue describing a future where all communication is elevated to an endless loop of sweat-drenched club-goers pressed tightly against the front of the stage, smiling at everything you do.

The list of artists who have released music on the label is a veritable 'who's who' of top-level talent spanning a broad musical range, and this, along with a commitment to beautiful design, has earned the label respect in the industry and a cult following among fans. 

“We started out singing into plastic bags and shipping them to stores as quickly as possible. Later, we discovered that vinyl sounds way better when delivered by kayak. I learned so much the first few years…Now, as I look towards the future, I can envision music for poor people, sonic odors for the hearing impaired, even MP3s for women....Vroom, sucka!” says Tiga, the lyrical lampsman lighting the way down Dance Avenue.
