Tal Fussman is an outstanding young artist worth keeping an eye on. His productions are at the forefront of innovation, breathing new life into the electronic dance scene. His releases on renowned labels like Innervisions and his own Survival Tactics label among others affirm that his sound is a pioneering fresh blueprint for the Techno/House world.

In his Focus EP for Drumpoet, Tal showcases his versatility across a diverse spectrum. The track "It's Alright" serves as a futuristic house anthem, while the title track "Focus" champions the break-beat influenced side of the spectrum. The EP reaches its peak with the tribal and dance-floor-driven tracks "Don't Want To" and "Into the Chamber," ultimately delving into the emotive and experimental soundscapes of "Goal" and "Will Fade“.

After 2 years, Tropical Animals Records returns with a new intimate release by Ricardo Baez. Following his recent successes on labels like Bordello a Parigi, Mule Musiq, and Permanent Vacation, Ricardo Baez pays tribute to his beloved and irreplaceable grandmother Angelina in this track.

The track opens with a syncopated rhythmic section where voices of various tones intertwine, while a swelling pad underneath leads to a suspended childish time frame. The track continues with a crescendo and decrescendo of emotions, evoking moments of absolute carefreeness and freedom, almost as if it were transporting us to paradise.
The remix entrusted to one of the finest electronic music artists on the Italian scene, BAWRUT takes the sound completely out of conventional bounds, creating sonic landscapes that ignite a strong urge to unleash on the dancefloor, to forget... forget how much “I miss you”. The breakdown catapults us into another sonic realm, only to plunge us into the stark reality of what it is Raw, powerful, and straight… like his incredible version. A remix that is exceedingly solid and devastating.

Friday is the first musical herald to Lights Towards The Exit, Atelier’s second full-length studio album (out 31.05.2024) on Lossless. Switching seaside ambience for a sound, shaped by inner-city living and the new surroundings in the duo’s adoptive city Berlin, this is an ode to first-time experiences, new languages, challenges, club culture and the shift from youth to maturity, as well as a balm to those stuck somewhere in between. Idriss D officially launches the brand new label Nedjma with his own 2-vinyl, 8-track album as first release. The imprint will serve as a platform for up and coming talents from the Arabic world who are not represented in the current musical landscape. A very bold statement from Idriss himself, this record sees the Franco-Algerian dj and producer infuse his personal history into what he loves the most and share it with the rest of the world.
First track Tsakhbira works as the perfect opener for the album with a melodic ambient-like mood and Arabic chants, with second track Beld el fen following in the same vein with traditional instruments interspersed with synth stabs and eerie atmos.
Chazil’s upbeat rhythm spices up the vibe, a mix of ethereal singalongs and bouncy percussions. Mohamed is the first foray into Electronic territory, a downtempo piece featuring French vocals and plenty of analog industrial clanks that lead into subsequent Hey Galbi, an exquisite melodic house number with acid synth melodies and piano keys.
Electro (Leila Moon Remix) delves into more experimental landscapes, with darker tones, blurred vocals and pulsating beats, while Elf Leila is quintessential Electroclash Arabic music, blending these two genres together, with a syncopated super catchy bassline. Closing track Harramt is a whirlwind of snare rolls, 303 arpeggios and nods to North African heritage sounds.

French producer Panthera steps up to Melodize with a pair of Italo inspired cuts that come remixed by the legendary Lauer and Endrik Schroeder.

Panthera prefers to remain secretive about his identity, but his music has plenty of people talking. It has come out on labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Polaris and Correspondant so far and contains a distinct, synth-heavy, euphoric sound.

This is evident from the beginning with 'Hustle', a colourful and cosmic cut with rich melodies, occasional vocal touches and shimmering arps. They bring sugary rushes of joy to the mid-tempo nu-disco drums and will douse dance floors in subtle euphoria. Remixing this one is the underground stalwart Lauer, who always brings his retro style to his disco and house on labels such as Permanent Vacation and Running Back. His version is faster and more direct, though still packed with starry melodies and subtle synth motifs that bring it to life.

Panthera's 'Western Union' then brings more raw percussion and slapping drums but again takes flight through the cosmos on sleek synth lines with hints of 80s nostalgia. It's a track that is always on the rise and full of bright, irresistible melodic suspense. Remixer Endrik Schroeder also hails from France and is a fast-rising talent with credits on the taste-making Bordello A Parigi, Ritmo Fatale, and Roam Recordings. He flips the original into a more propulsive and urgent nu-disco weapon with crashing drums and synth loops spiralling around the track as extra melodies fall like stardust to light up the groove.
There is real quality as well as plenty of feel-good energy to these four shiny, synth-heavy tracks.

Rory Hamilton, aka Hammer, is a Belfast-born and bred producer and one of the underground's most astute artists. He co-helmed the famous Feel My Bicep blog with Bicep and has taken his brand of disco worldwide. He has released it on Optimo, Shall Not Fade and others while running his own Italo Hiits and Remmah. Now he offers another sneak peek of the upcoming Ibiza Get Physical with 'Red Alert.' 

It is a superb and chugging disco sound with a sleazy low end and cosmic arps that spiral up top. A taught bassline keeps things rooted to the floor while subtly euphoric emotions, Italo chord work and retro sound designs all bring the colour. 

Remixer ABSOLUTE. is a key figure on the London dance scene who has graced the cover of Mixmag and released massive crossover hits like ‘String Theory’,’Stuck in Love’ and ‘Voices’ whilst dropping music on Shall Not Fade, DJ Haus’ Hot Haus and La La’s Sound as Records, amongst others. His High Alert Remix is a raw and percussive one that channels early Chicago house and is lit up with rave-ready stabs and full-throttle drums.

Energy 52's Café Del Mar is one of the most iconic tracks in dance music. Released in 1993, this instrumental trance anthem was named after the famous beach bar on the Balearic island, becoming synonymous with the euphoric, sun-soaked vibe of Ibiza's dance culture. Crafted by German DJs Kid Paul and Cosmic Baby, the track's mesmerizing melodies and uplifting harmonies encapsulate the quintessential sunset moment, making it a staple in the sets of DJs worldwide.

Its enduring appeal is reflected in its impressive chart performance and numerous re-releases and remixes by leading artists, ensuring its presence in dance music culture across decades. Over the years, Café Del Mar has achieved legendary status, regularly featuring in lists of the greatest dance tracks of all time. Notably, it was voted No. 1 in Mixmag's 2001 list of the "Top 100 Tunes of All Time," highlighting its almost unparalleled impact on the dance music landscape. To put it simply, Café Del Mar is a cultural phenomenon, encapsulating the spirit of an era and influencing generations of artists and fans alike.

Now this iconic track is being remixed by two of the most revered acts in electronic music, Orbital and Michael Mayer.

A key figure in Cologne's electronic scene, Michael Mayer co-founded the influential Kompakt label, contributing significantly to its direction and success. His discography includes seminal albums such as "Neuhouse" (1998), "Immer" (2002), and more recent works like "Higher" (2020) and "Connecting the Dots" (2021). Known for his meticulous remixes and collaborations with artists like Superpitcher and Kölsch, Mayer's work spans genres, touching on microhouse, experimental, and ambient techno. Beyond producing, Mayer's mix CDs, including contributions to the Fabric and DJ-Kicks series, highlight his broad musical taste and ability to curate pioneering sounds.

For his interpretation, Mayer leans into head spinning, hypnotic rhythms, with tribal drums and the patiently evolving lead line building towards a climax that is more subtle but no less effective. A near-perfect sunrise track for the payoff to all-night, al fresco summer raves.

“We started out singing into plastic bags and shipping them to stores as quickly as possible. Later, we discovered that vinyl sounds way better when delivered by kayak.
