Years of simmering mutual admiration between Turbo and Architectural finally erupt with Good Night, Whatever That Is, the Asturian producer's first release on the label. 

Nothing gets us hot and bothered like the prospect of featuring a true artist on Turbo. In fact, we are so f-ing jazzed to be working with techno genius Architectural that we even dropped scrappy “fun-house” producer Archie Textures from our roster to avoid confusion.

The Good Night, Whatever That Is EP imbues the timeless platonic forms of techno with an energy, craft and depth that will feel instantly familiar to anyone who has built a cathedral with their bare hands. And yet  the unadulterated power of lead single “Steampunk” and the even-less-adulterated power of “Tubular Funk,” confirm that this release also has one foot squarely planted on the secular dance floor, coursing with the searing bio-fluids that drive and torment all sexual beings. Meanwhile, your deep human need for contrast will be sated by the IDM-ambient euphorics of “Eternity Land” and the highbrow breaks of “Rousing Rhythms”. 

In the interest of exposing this work to as many thought-hungry minds as possible, we will be randomly hiding 10,000 copies of the EP on CD-R in bottles of Drakkar Noir energy drink at participating supermarkets throughout the Americas and Eurasia. Our hope is that this marks the moment many of you finally become teachable, fully accepting that getting razor-like shards of CD-R lodged in your throat is simply the price of admission to the Idea Man’s Ball.

There are songs for when you gotta make love right now. There are tracks for when you’ve got company…courtesy of Boys in Blue Incorporated. But if you read your local newspaper, you know that really what the world needs nowadays is music to heal our divided dance floor, music that reminds us that we’re all just spinning on this great big planet called Life.

To this end, Turbo is looking to Bogota-based techno thought leader Confidential Recipe to usher in a new era of understanding, dignity, and impassioned thrusting for party people around the globe. This four-track EP harnesses all the intensity and hi-NRG of a husband’s father stepping into the club for the very first time, distilling techno, house, jacking, house-jacking, and electro to their most ecstatic vibrational essence.

We should note that this release is digital-only. If you have an issue with that, we suggest taking a moment to reflect on how fortunate you are to be alive and partake of the Lord’s Bounty. Silent films. Hospital gown design. It’s just all so incredible. All of it.

Berlin DJ and producer Efdemin aka Phillip Sollmann is gearing up to release a hybrid mix/album and 'Naïf' is nothing short of a techno masterpiece.

Core talent includes ZZT (Tiga's collaboration with Zombie Nation), Jori Hulkkonen, BETON, Clouds, Harvard Bass, Pilo, Shaded, Dimitri Veimar and a host of new young producers in genres ranging from pure techno, electro, and house to pop. The list of artists who have released music on the label is a veritable 'who's who' of top-level talent spanning a broad musical range, and this, along with a commitment to beautiful design, has earned the label respect in the industry and a cult following among fans. 

“We started out singing into plastic bags and shipping them to stores as quickly as possible. Later, we discovered that vinyl sounds way better when delivered by kayak. I learned so much the first few years…Now, as I look towards the future, I can envision music for poor people, sonic odors for the hearing impaired, even MP3s for women....Vroom, sucka!” says Tiga, the lyrical lampsman lighting the way down Dance Avenue.
