Patti Jo to my knowledge only made two tracks but oh what tracks they were. Both were written and produced by Curtis Mayfield and have been staples in my sets for many years. 'Make Me Believe In You' is the better known of the two (the Tom Moulton mix is one of his finest) but Ain't No Love Lost, released the year before in 1972 is just as strong and if anything has even better arrangements. Can't believe it's taken me this long to give it a LW re-spin! As ever this may see the light of day over the summer as a limited release but has mainly been put together for my forthcoming sets.

Jenova 7 & Mr. Moods - Blue Like Jazz

The soulful instrumental mastery of Cold Diamond & Mink takes center stage in this release that versions two essential tracks from their collaboration with the singer Jonny Benavidez. Both songs are lifted from the album My Echo, Shadow and Me that the group recorded together with the golden-voiced Chicano soul brother for New York’s Daptone Records.

On the A-side, you get to immerse yourself in the enchanting crossover soul beats of “My Echo, Shadow and Me”, the instrumental rendition complementing the previous gems by Benavidez and the band on Timmion Records. Flipping the record exposes another soulful groover in “Playing The Fool” that showcases Cold Diamond & Mink’s love for iconic ‘60s and ‘70s indie soul by groups like The T.S.U. Toronadoes and The Commands.

The whole My Echo, Shadow and Me LP is getting an instrumental treatment on Timmion, and this single shows that even without the vocals Jonny Benavidez’s strong influences from Texas Chicano soul shine through loud and clear.

The LA based singer-songwriter and producer Kauf has remixed Public Service Broadcasting's new track 'Go!', taking it from an indie-rock tune to a wicked, chunky dance number.

By laying some of his own vocals on top and going in with the synth, Kauf gave 'Go!' a deep, warm melody and brought it poolside just in time for the summer.

"I hadn't worked on a remix for an album that had a strong singular concept before, in this case the space race, so I was inspired to add some vocals that loosely relate that drive to explore the universe to something a little more personal, like getting to know another person," explained Ronald Kaufman.

One of Arnhem's best kept secrets is Funk producer Henning. He reps the far east of the Netherlands and dropped by the Red Bull Studios Amsterdam last month.

Together with guitar player Raphael Devante, he got down and worked on the track "Tru Funksta". This instrumental version is available for free download and later this year there might be a vocal version on the way.

Oh man... ok, Chromeo??? Sure here goes.... Blah blah blah.....funk.... Blah blah... sex... blah blah jew and arab pals... minneapolis, yada yada, crazy hahahahahahha, clever, clever.

New single called TENDERONI......i love the song. Makes me dance. Killer bassline, serious groove. Groove. Funk. Groove. YEAH!

It's my second fave on the album. Mixed by Zdar. It's a funk bomb. There's that word again. We needed remixes and we spent so much time on it....oh man, it's SOOOO annoying! Why isn't there just a machine you can drop the track into and it comes out with remixes.I should list all the people that ALMOST did remixes.....

We got Proxy to remix it, cuz he's Russian and on Turbo, and he's the future,and it was a great way to hype him up and save some cash.....BUT that does NOT mean that the mix is a compromise...in fact it is my favorite remix in ages....total rave-pop-bomb. I LOVE it so much.... but maybe it could have been louder. I also think this is proxy's first ever remix....a piece of legitimate musical history can be yours for under 10euros.

Then there is the Etienne De Crecy mix that is totally "Etienne" while still managing to be surprisingly "Crecy".

See- the truth is a bitter pill.....you want more? I own Morcheeba records.....still want more......Steph from soulwax thinks Alanis Morisette has "incredible eyes"......you want the truth??? You cant HANDLE THE TRUTH.

I think that's it... I don't have to still tell you about Chromeo, because by now you all know.
