Yaleesa Hall has released solo tracks and remixes on the Will & Ink label before now, and here returns with four new cuts on the Perrin EP. The unknown producer turned plenty of heads with its first full outing, and the stripped back but succulent sounds on offer here will surely do the same again. 

The first cut is 'First Perrin', which has massive rubber kick drums rolling beneath little flecks of static and raw metal texture. Synths groan under the weight of the drums and overall the track makes for a perfect warehouse or basement banger. 'Second Perrin' is no less subtle. Once again it has gigantic kick drums, but this time they are more rocking and punchy, and have icy hi hats riding long side them. Deep, droning bass sounds and clever use of filters add a sense of scale to the track and it cannot fail to suck you in as a result. 

'Third Perrin' is another, organic, humid and rather oppressive affair driven by perfectly sculpted kick drums. They hit hard as itchy hi hats and dehumanised vocal sounds try to keep up but instead get sucked under by the groove. Lastly, 'Fourth Perrin' has a wonky synth line riding up and down, slicing into the barrelling kick drums as they cut in and out. 

This is expertly hypnotic, over sized and cavernous techno that will suck you in, sweep you up and trap you in a perfect trance.

Techno journeyman @alexidelano turns in an excellent remix of 'Fracture' by Zia, making a long overdue return to the Canadian label that released his LP a full 15 years ago. Full circle, dope as ever.

Delsin is such a major label of electronic music, it would be too long to enumerate the artists who collaborated on it. The list is impressive and endless, just think about Redshape, Newworldaquarium, John Beltran, Delta Funktionen, Claro Intelecto, Voiski or $tinkworx to name a few we truly like. The Amsterdam-based imprint started in the mid 90’s to spread its impeccable taste and continues the job today making his mark on international techno scene. Simultaneously with french artist Shlømo release "In Absentia : Tome 1" , British producer Tom Dicicco, boss of Run Out Run and Inner Surface Music, signs his debut "Shadows & Tears EP" on Delsin, opening with this glowing and melancholic housey "Extracting The Error" track while the rest of the ep is focused on a darker techno, menacing and industrial. A varied ep highly recommended !  Out on May 09, 2016.

Dutch live-act and DJ duo Artefakt prepare their atmospheric debut album on renowned techno imprint Delsin this February.

Known separately as Robin Koek and Nick Lapien, the pair first appeared on Field Records before follow up releases on Prologue, Delsin and Konstrukt. Individually Nick has been making waves under his Lapien moniker, dropping productions via Fred P’s Soul People Music, Finale Sessions, Rekids and DVS1’s Mistress Recordings, whereas Koek’s intricate sound design work has been performed globally at the likes of Toronto, Viseu, New York, Ohio, Berlin and Amsterdam.

True to their distinct mesmerising aesthetic, the album commences with a suspenseful number named ‘Kinship’ that combines sweeping pads with ominous tones. Pattering drums introduce ‘Tapestry’ before ghostly notes are brought into the equation, leading into ‘Entering The City’ with its rumbling low-end and soaring harmonies.

Next, ‘Somatic Dreams’ initiates with stuttering stabs as distorted nuances operate throughout, making way for the chugging ‘Fernweh’ with its ethereal synths and sci-fi throbs. ‘Return To Reason’ then incorporates heady acid squelches and hypnotic tape delays before opulent chords conclude the package in an ambient finale titled ‘Tapeloop 1’.

Kinship portrays a compelling narrative in a body of work that will undoubtedly keep listeners engaged from start to finish.
