"I'm also a big Kanye fan. I think he changed the game, him and Just Blaze -- from taking the beats game from a digitized Swizz Beatz/Ruff Ryders sound to bringing it back to a warm sample heavy style. I made this beat and passed it to a few MCs and song came about from it -- but the groove is definitely something I wanted in the album. This beat was debatable to include - I also wanted to put "Still Living" my collaboration with ILL-J and some other beats. But this beat showed a lot of my Kanye influence, and it was only right that I saved him a seat."

"This beat, my brother Ryan -- gave me the sample and once I heard it, I already knew what to do with the sample. I was so excited having finished the initial loop/chop -- and I wanted a New York based MC to rock to it. I passed the beat to Dama Nilz -- and yes, she turned this beat down - it sounded to common for her and I respected that.

The second part of the song I chopped up same month of releasing the album. When I started with the beat, I couldnt find a nice chop variation so I let it marinate for about a year before finally lacing up the second part."

"Gratitude is a beat I made, believe it or not in 2006.

This was a sample taken from a CD from one of me and my brothers sample digging in Taiwan. This was a beat that was supposed to be a "Thank You" song from my group Crecon - the cheering of the crowd in the hook part was inspired from Jay-z's "Encore"; our group never got to record this song. A few years later, Nujabes was introduced to me -- and when he passed away, this beat was sort of an ode to him and his piano driven beats.

One of those beats that I didnt cut short because of way the sample spoke to me, and how perfect the ending was. The scratches was done by DJ Jazzy Jeff, hahaha."

"This beat was made for Gloc-9 back in the day. Gloc had heard my work from doing Mike Swift's Legendary album, and asked me through Mike to submit some beats - I passed 5 beats if I remember it correctly. Gloc then met me up somewhere in ABSCBN to tell me he picked 2 beats. I was stoked when I finally heard the premixed version of Lapis At Papel at Ferdie's studio -- I made the beat via a very famous sample which I am not going to name. Also, making it, I just zoned out on what song I want to hear Gloc 9 rip. This was made around the same time he was making tons of love songs -- and I as a fan just wanted that old Gloc 9 back -- lo and behold, he showed up with more than I expected.

Thank you Gloc, for making my catalog all the more colorful."
