Birmingham beatsmith Ryan Resso is making his Hottrax debut with a dancefloor destroyer, 'Still Get You'. It's time to gear up for some chunky grooves via Jamie Jones' sizzling label, dropping 10th October 2025. Resso's no stranger to the decks, having previously unleashed his sonic prowess on UNLISH, NATURE, Belief, PIV Club, and his own WYLD imprint. But now, he’s got his sights set on making the Hottrax warehouse quake.

'Still Get You' kicks things off with driving energy, layered with shuffling percussion that’s tighter than your mate’s skinny jeans. Zipping synths weave through the track like a snake through the undergrowth, building an irresistible, heads-down vibe that locks the groove down tight. It's a hypnotic slice, crafted for maximum warehouse damage and perfectly suited for those East Berlin sweatboxes where the underground magic happens.

Of course, Resso isn’t stopping there. ‘Jam To The Beat’ cranks the intensity up a notch. With a punchy, rhythm-focused approach, it's all about those rolling drums and hazy chords. The heavy low-ends here will rattle your rib cage, while the track’s infectious energy seems destined for those London afters where sunrise feels like the starting gun, not the curtain call.

The EP wraps with ‘I Like It’, a vibrant finale that’s nothing short of a vibe rocket. Upbeat and energetic, it’s got an infectious bassline that slaps harder than a naughty child! Hooky samples and motifs buzz through the mix, delivering a cut that screams late hours and grinning faces. This one's got festival anthem written all over it.

Playfully bringing the deep grooves to the underground and the pumping house to the big rooms, Glasgow’s Austin Ato has seen his profile rise over the past two years. Initially releasing on the taste-maker Phonica's white-label imprint, showcasing a blend of live keys and drums with exquisite sampling, he then created a blazing 12” of loopy, disco and drum machine house for Man Power’s Me Me Me label. This immediately put him on our radar, and we've supported ever since.
His music comes in many forms, be it afrohouse on Defected with "Oh Mama" or making some Detroit and Chicago influenced tunes for Luke Solomon's Classic Music Company with 'Drip' and 'Heat' from the EP named after the latter. His DJ sets have led him to play many of the best parties in the UK from Percolate with Daphne and Floating Points, to Horsemeat Disco and Karizma.
Having evolved from the enigmatic Drums of Death, our man Ato has a diverse ear, and a knowledge of what makes a groove. He serves up an hour of eclectic ear food for us in the mix series, moving through multiple genres, but always with a rhythm which urges you to move.
