Leonid. (not to be confused with Leonid, and soon to be known as Leon Revol) absolutely stunned me with some tracks he sent me that will be released soon on my label @monologues Records ('Clear Definition EP', out March 28). The prodigious 22-year-old from Bordeaux has a sensibility with house music and old samples that's beyond his years, and he's put out some beauts on Apersonal Music and Carré Blu Records thus far. This is the glorious title track from his new EP for Italian imprint @Boutade-Musique: a summery slice of Brasiliena slo-mo house that should warm your cockles right up. A serious talent in the making.

'Cinnamon Flavour' is the our pick of the bunch, a graceful slab of string-laden deep house that's imbued with '70s soul vibes.

Quality vocal deep house can be hard to come by, and as such I was very happy to find this gem from Vancouver scene mainstay @gavin-froome and local electronic pop group @goldenearsmusic in my inbox. Released by local legends @nordic-trax. You could file it close to Bob Moses I guess, with its deep warm bass, contemplative vocals, lush strings and nods to classic alt pop/rock. There's a little tinge of dub in the low end and some of stabs too that help to create some lovely atmospherics. Slick stuff all round that's perfect for summer daytimes and early evening floorfilling.

Two Swiss masters meet on this deep, heady slab of throbbing tech. @ripperton grabs hold of Kalabrese (@kalaspatz)'s 'Is This', makes good use of the live instrumentation and vocals and transforms it into a slow-burning, hypnotic masterpiece of bleeps, chimes and delicate atmospheres.

Salzburg's @demuja has been building up a serious head of steam of late, with releases like 'Move' on Freerange doing serious business alongside bits on Let's Play House, Skylax and his own MUJA imprint. His first EP for Kerri Chandler's @madhouse-records finds him in typically tuneful form, with this title track a driving ride through backwards synth chords, rubbery bass and classic house strings.
