GLBDOM is back with a second vinyl release as good as its first. This one pulls totters six super sweet racks from various artists who all share a subtly old-school vibe. The house they make comes with lovely retro-future feels and hints of 80s and early 90 magic. Jeff The Fool kicks off with timeless deep house and seductive French spoken words. The irresistible grooves come thick and fast from there with Scruscru & BR Selecta dropping in some kinetic 2step grooves, and dusty old and breakbeat sounds from FRR FONK come doused in synths soul. A trio of various jacking, smooth and soulful cuts see out the reverse.

The Lagaffe boys have a special one for you. Lagaffe 10 marks the 10th EP in our vinyl series and serves as a perfect way to end our 10th year in existence. To mark this occasion we are releasing a 4 tracker with our founders and label regulars. 

The EP opens up with Cohen Social Club by Flexi Leifs aka Felix Leifur. Our man Felix lost his drum machines last spring but luckily he found a guitar and some drums. The track starts off with suspicious sounding guitar notes that somehow up as pure beauty, giving hope in the darkest of places. Frodo with the ring stuff, if you know what I mean. Playful reverbs and echos give the tune the classic Felix Leifur feel to it! 

Moff & Tarkin has the next track "Pure Fury", some breakbeats and cheesy disco vocals, why change a winning recipe? 

Next up is "We are not alone " by label boss Jonbjörn. I think this is what Elton John meant when he said "thank god for those electro bangers!" With "Að handan" Viktor Birgiss comes back to the label in style. Our mastering engineer described it as having the loudest kickdrum in history, imagine that! Lo fi dub sounding drums interlaced with atmospheric chords, made for those late night intimate moments on the dancefloor, again Frodo with the ring stuff, if you know what I mean.

Seb Wildblood kicks off the year with his ‘vitara 3000’ EP, a dispatch loaded with three atmospheric cuts which seamlessly dive between sounds of nostalgia, broken beat and euphoric melodies. The three-tracker via Istanbul-based label Oath is his first release since dropping his warmly-received sophomore LP ‘do you feel it too?’ on all my thoughts.

‘This EP was born out of having the first solid space to be creative in since moving to LA from London. There’s a call and response element to the record via vitara 3000 which quite literally refers back to my last album ‘do you feel it too?’ that came out in May via the vocal sample. I see my catalog/discography in phases, and for me this EP reflects the final few chapters of the sound and energy I’ve been exploring over the last 18 months or so.’ – Seb Wildblood

‘floor science’ is the first to drop listeners into Seb’s kaleidoscopic soundscape, indulging ears with a scintillating, high energy cut that’s inspired by tech house of the noughties. Title track ‘vitara 3000’ trips into a blissful place, one where the question posed by Seb’s second LP is answered in the euphoric flight of the vocal, literally calling out “I can feel!” A new studio space and a grab for new studio gear gave creative steam to ‘re-location.zip’, a track that radiates with new beginnings from the elevating chords to the skittering synths, and soaring vocal.

Tribak proudly introduces "TimeClapse," a reissue series that spotlights the golden years of bedroom producers in West Jerusalem.
This unique collection revives rare music, previously unavailable in digital form, straight from the vaults.

Grundik & Slava were an experimental electronic duo who were active in Israel in the late 90's-early 00´s. They played an important role in the flourishing art and music underground scene. The duo met in the mid 90's in the university, after playing in several alternative spaces, they acquired two cheap groove-boxes Roland MC 303 and Rave-O-Lution and used them in live situations. They approached both software and hardware barbarically, abusing the machines, looking for the ways to produce sounds these gadgets and plugins were never intended to produce. Grundik is based in London and is an acclaimed musician playing in projects such as free jazz/techno duo Tennota and Krautfolk collective Staraya Derevnya. Slava Smelovsky lives in Israel, collaborates with the music label Boiled Angel Records, and engages in neuro art, releasing experimental multimedia projects using neural networks and lo-fi synthesis.

This album was released by Fact records in 1999 on a limited edition CD-R with a cardboard box with a stamp as a cover. The label is the first DIY label in Israel. In this time CD burners became available on each PC and producers were able to produce an album at home that created a revolution in music distribution. Label founder Yoram Elikiam was an owner of a small record shop named Balance, it was a kind of community centre for all music junkies in the city. Fact was short lived but had published over 50 releases, it had a major influence on the electronic and Indie scene in Israel.

The title “One second before the Planet blows Up” was ironic, as in that time there was a lot of talk about the millennium apocalypse. The album skeleton is the sampled speech all over the tracks, paving the character of the album as a dark absurdist comedy - “talking about tomorrow and yesterday”, “real timing”, or “everything you say will be recorded”, all are hinting to the post millennium technological paranoia.
The sound of the album is groovy and glitched, melodic and agitating, digital and warm, humorous and yet grim, like Aphex Twin was re-born in Jerusalem.
