The compilation features exclusive productions from Contours & Werkha, Footshooter (SAUL), Allysha Joy (30/70), Sofatalk, Aura Safari, Future Jazz Ensemble & XL Regular, Karmasound & Footnote, Quiroga & 291out, Roy Vision, Slowaxx, Veezo & F2F Project. 

Given the sound aesthetics of both labels, you can expect jazz-driven house productions, broken beat works but also a couple weird tunes blurring the lines between styles and expanding the musical spectrum of involved artists. 

We are honored to present you the track from Aura Safari called "Velvet Horizon" featuring the flutist Callum Connell. An outstanding deep house production with one foot stuck in the jazz section.

For our eighteenth release, Keita Sano returns to the label and presents “In the Pool EP”, his first solo digital EP for Esuoh. The pack is composed by 4 original tracks, “The Floor", "Flowtation", "In The Pool" and "Full Gain”. One-shot house recordings with the characteristic style of our Japanese friend, looped-up rhythms, raw sounds, sampled vocal elements and a relentless groove that makes them highly addictive.

[ESUOH018] Keita Sano - In The Pool EP

Just got the alert that this is out today on Juno. This EP was a long time in the making. The last project completed at my Studio in Detroit before moving to NY a year ago with brother Javonntte - someone I love and respect endlessly. We laid everything down over the course of four days. We played drums together, we had homies in the studio getting down with us while ad libbing parts (you can even hear them in the background if you listen carefully). We ended up with a ton of content that I whittled down, arranged, mixed, edited, and mastered into this. The iconic Delano Smith filled in on remix duties for what was originally slated to be Mike Huckaby who had agreed to do this project just a month before his passing. Del did it justice. The stems were passed back, I mixed it down with extra moody flavor and we agreed it was perfect. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I did making it. I love you Huck and I love you Eric and I'm sorry you guys couldn't see the end result.

Here we are for the 4th round of @Apparel-Wax and a crazy one indeed for all the lovers of the vinyl masked man, a release that expresses 4 different nuances of House. Few words are needed to describe the debut of the vinyl with A1 track which is a rarely powerful combination of 2.0 Dance Music and 80’s vibes, a proper slap in the face to kick it off! Our unknown DJ then shifts to a more sensual mode with A2, where funky guitar shades and smooth chords blended with the vocals that drag us on a more intimate level of listening to keep on traveling on a lower tone. B side starts with a track guided by weaving Jazzy rhythmics dialoguing hectically with Samba and some jungle environmental recordings, creating a super personal interpretation of Brazilian Jazzy House, while to end up the 4th trip on Wax Planet, B2 blesses us with some more classic vibes with a sharp string’s melody and a rich bassline guided silently by a Rhodes piano and some pungent and melancholic female vocals, to end it up in style. Full project curated by Giuseppe D’Alessandro, mastered by Stefan Eichinger aka LOPAZZ, distributed by Wordandsound, published by Apparel Music.

Sublime stuff here from UK gear-head (by which we mean he loves hardware) NY*AK (@scotty5000)'s 'Afghan Jams' EP on @city-fly, which comes backed with remixes from the mighty Mark Hand and Ian Blevins. Thumping kicks and techno cymbal rides belie the sweet nature of this track, which centres around a glorious string sample and dreamy female soul vocals. Taut percussive rhythms fill in the gaps around pleasingly ploddy bass and urgent snare hits.
