Upgrade is back in the Serial Killaz camp with some certified heat for 2018 in the form of the Bad Frequencies EP. If you thought the Temper Tantrum EP from 2017 was big, this forthcoming release really is on another level.

Straight from the word go Upgrade releases a hailstorm of beats and bass in the form of the EP’s title track ‘Bad Frequencies’. Distorted and filtered out low end combined with those snappy drum patterns you instantly expect from this talented producer provide the perfect expectation for what’s in store.

‘Steel Drums’ really requires no introduction as it’s currently being caned by everyone on dub. Synthesized stabs provide some real energy here and with a roaring drop it’s a no holds barred rush of disjointed basslines and uptempo jump up flavours that really takes no prisoners.

‘Spit it Out’ consistently causes all kind of shoe throwing activities and it’s of no surprise as to why. Everything about this track screams of Upgrades distinctive style and flair, from the way it’s imminent crescendo slaps you around the face to the crushing bass drop. Ruthless.

‘Consciousness’ wraps haunting stuttering vocal samples around wonkey breakbeats which effortlessly combine with rumbling basslines and vicious stabs.

Finishing off proceedings and switching the pace in the form of ‘Get Excited’, a track that when presented in the mix, will no doubt accelerate vibes in the dance!

Riddled with signature sounds, this EP from Upgrade contains 5 killer cuts of fresh drum and bass ideally aimed at the jam packed dance floor and with the backing of the legendary
