About this edit :
I am happy to share this EDIT with you, which started as an idea about two years ago and had not been able to materialize until now. The inspiration came directly from my vinyl collection, where I have a lot of records from the 60s and 90s. "Before You" is an instrumental track, Jamming, from the album "Their Satanic Majesties Second Request" (1996) by The Brian Jonestown Massacre, an album inspired by "Their Satanic Majesties Request" (1967) by the Rolling Stones, the figure of Brian Jones and the psychedelia culture of the 60s.

I have always liked the free way of making music that this band has and and while working on the track, I had many memories of my first trip to India and Nepal when I was 19 years old, those same emotions that occur before starting a great adventure or a new path in your life is the one that I would like to convey in this song, which features Gabriel Feller's participation in Sitar, and samples from various sources, including one of my favorite films "Meetings with Remarkable Men" (1979) by Peter Brook, inspired by Gurdjieff's youth and his search for the meaning of life.

About this edit:
African music has been very inspiring to me for many years, there is something about it that I connect deeply with, I feel it in my spirit. I love to listen to it all the time, I love to learn the guitar rhythms and melodies, it gives me a lot of ideas for my music.
I came across this song recently and fell in love with the vocal and simple yet beautiful guitar melody. I felt that it had a very authentic and honest feeling. I researched the song and found out that N'Gou recorded this album in his house with his wife and daughter singing in the 1970's in Bougouni, Mali. I felt this was a beautiful vibration that I would love to share in my sets so I decided to make this edit. I hope you enjoy!
