there are endless crazy things on the playa to see, do, and get caught up in. I tend to keep planning to a minimum and instead let chance and word of mouth carry me around, but one of the things I knew I was most looking forward to this year was playing in Zero Fucks' shipping container rave, lovingly dubbed Burnhain.

in the early saturday morning hours, after wandering around deep playa and dancing to Tara Brooks at Disco Knights with some Zero Fucks family, I took off back across the darkness to get to the shipping container at 9:30 + A in time for my set. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but upon arriving was stoked to see a packed house inside and out, with haze spilling out between the container doors while alexander paulski did his thing behind the booth.

this then is the recording of what ensued during the next hour inside the booming, hazy, strobe-lit, infinity-mirror shipping container from 3-4am saturday morning.

what a fucking night ✌🏼

another year on the playa, another year of getting lost exploring the dusty thing in the desert we call home.

though I had so many amazing experiences out there this year, one of the highlights was again playing inside Zero Fucks' thundering Burnhain shipping container rave. techno on the playa is a bit rare, and this hidden gem is an absolute blast to escape the playa tech that dominates the city.

mid-week in the early morning hours, I headed over to 9:30 + B, and slipped into the back of the container to make my way through the crowd to the booth. https://soundcloud.com/ssachiko was just finishing up a massive set, and the place was as dark, packed, and hazy as ever.

this then once again is the recording of what ensued during the next hour inside the booming, hazy, strobe-lit, infinity-mirror shipping container from 3-4am wednesday morning.

there's really something magical about the way the light touches everything on the playa during sunset. it's one of my favorite times out there, and this year I was super happy to have the chance to play for a few hours as the sun went down on Friday of burn week.

again this year https://soundcloud.com/zerofucks brought their thundering, smoke-filled, mirror-walled, strobe-lit shipping container rave back home to the playa to share with those looking to get their techno fix.

this year was exciting — not only did I get to follow the insanely talented https://soundcloud.com/britton-galland, it was also the closing set of the night leading into wednesday morning's sunrise.

and so it goes — I'm glad to share the recording of that night from 4:30 to 6:00am, as the darkness of the container finally gave way to piercing rays of light through the curtains, and the pounding drums turned to melody.
