​Norwegian newcomer Gundelach’s debut single comes in the form of the the soulful Spiders. Fans of Movement take note, Gundelach makes music in a similar vein. With his debut EP being released early next year we are now treated to an exclusive bit of remix action from the project. Fellow Nordic resident Finnebassen takes the track and injects an extra layer of drums and soft synth pads to craft together beautiful piece of late night melancholy. Hit play.

Premiere: Gundelach - Spiders (Finnebassen Remix)

Stockholm based indie wonder-label Seaweed records is back with their second compilation of the summer. Dedicated to the summer's daytime parties and Open Airs it's called Daytime Sampler 2. 

It kicks off with a signature track by the Danish underground duo Greenwille massive. It starts off like a lazy Sunday party with a one minute long smooth keyboard chord intro, then the deep kick and percussions kick in.

Mood in C is the latest EP by @parraforcuva. Following the highly acclaimed album “Darwīš” together with Senoy on @projectmooncircle, the release is a collection of songs that have been created in and around the last year.
The song “Unfinished Colours” together with “Others” is the first collaboration of a future joint project of the two friends. All percussion was either recorded on journeys and travels or at home with everyday objects to give the EP a unique sound.

Exploited presents the Hamburg duo ADANA TWINS - consisting of Take it Easy, the energizer and Freezo, the straight and fluffy guy - who were brought together by the power of good turkish food and the love for grooving house music. Last year they were responsible for one of the biggest tunes on Exploited in 2011: "JUICY FRUIT" - a slo-mo housed-up boogie-soul joint that was appreciated by a variety of DJs like Axel Boman, Round Table Knights, Solomun, A-Trak and many more. Now, Adana Twins are back with another hit: EVERYDAY is an updated version of a New Jack Swing Classic which has been getting a lot of support by SOLOMUN recently. Belgium-based talent DI MARTINELLI twists HELMUT’s recent anthem ‘Fur’ into a dark, hypnotic club tool. The original guitar chords merge with rolling ominous bass, hazy vocals, haunting synths and tribal undertones. While the vocals stay put, the lyrics are downplayed and fuzzy, leaving lots of room for the reverberating sounds to fill in the blanks, HELMUT’s voice ricocheting from the walls, reflected and refracted. 

However layered, this elongated mix maintains the careful pace of the original track, working instead with newly invented arrangements that go right down to the core of the tune. Thorough, yet subtle.

In adding a pulse that oozes Berlin nightlife, DI MARTINELLI creates a subdued-sounding dancefloor drone out of the poppier original. Somehow, this Antwerp prodigy manages to blend a psychedelic desert feel with a dark trance the shade of pre-dawn drifting through forgotten alleyways and backstreets. It’s 4 AM, the club is still coursing through your veins, but you’re on the way home and wanting to stretch the moment. This right here is your perfect soundtrack.

Flight Facilities have a brand new single called 'With You', this time featuring the vocal work of Hot Chip drummer Grovesnor – something darker, something deeper and something more mature.

The duo from Sydney bought you 2010’s pop hit ‘Crave You feat. Giselle’ which has netted over 5 million plays on Youtube to date, appeared in cult shows such as How to Make It In America, hit the top 20 in Triple J’s Hottest 100 and even impressed Perez Hilton. In 2011 they released the 70’s disco throw back 'Foreign Language feat. Jess’, once again it cracked Triple J’s Hottest 100, topped Australia’s Independent Music Charts, was loved by The Cool Hunter and turned out to be the song Leonardo DiCaprio requests when he’s out clubbing! "At first there was a remix:
For the first part of our Split Series „Hamburg“ the Hamburg based Band Me Succeeds made a remake of Arp Auberts „Actress“. In Return Arp Aubert, consisting of Mirau Label founder Stephan Lorenz, made a beautiful, dreamy remix for Me Succeeds „Riemerling“. Now the remixing goes on in full album length: After their latest long player „Rongorongo“ from 2011, which Me Succeeds released on their own imprint isawmusic, the band will return on Ki Records with a remix album. Eleven friends were invited to put their hands on the album’s tracks and give their interpretation. Besides a whole lot of danceable tracks you will also find some broken beats and spherical electronica here, which makes this release fit in perfectly in the Ki catalogue. Under the motto „never change a running system“ of course Arp Aubert once again had his hands on one of the tracks, turning „Rongorongo“ into a driving techno track which is underlined by the emotional vocals of lead-singer Mohna and beautiful melodies making this remix perfect for the early hours on the dancefloor. The Berlin based producer and DJ Iron Curtis gives the original of “Seventeen” a dubby note that is definitely special as he uses many vintage synthesizers-sounds and broken pieces of the original vocals to make this remix one of the strongest on this album. The last remix on the album was done by Greek musician Chronik, who turns „Books“ into a hymn with twisted rhythm and broken beats. It’s the perfect ending reminding us a lot of the recently on Ki released „Saints“ by Monokle. Apart from that, a few more great producers such as Tilmann Tausendfreund, Showing Off The Bling Bling, Christian Löffler, On Stop Off, My First Trumpet, Bug Lover and Suburb contributed to this Rongosium."
