80's horror-inspired "City Of The Dead" - a synthwave odyssey through a post-apocalypse. From the haunting synths and dark rhythms to the electric guitar riffs, each track represents the stillness of sorrow, the fragility of hope in the wake of death, and the ever-present danger of the living dead in a city that has fallen to the infection. For those who enjoy a bit of dystopia in their atmospheres and goosebumps-inducing sonics.

I'm testing how to make a huge pad by running a simple keyboard sound through a reverb pedal and then into a delay pedal. The Korg Minilogue synth has almost no decay so the notes are really short...until it reaches the efx pedals :)

Back when I was reading the Hyperion Cantos I was fascinated by the idea of the orbital forests that the Ousters build. So I had that idea in mind when working on this track.
It's mostly soft-synths (Omnisphere, Diva and Re-Pro) with the exception of one line that was SH-01A.
