Mike isn't actually a secret boss, but a main villain elevated to be the follower of "The Man". Mike is his disciple, a follower which shares his leader's dimensional abilities, creating, to form, he is darkness beyond darkness, meaning his own form varies. He can be anywhere at once, and his corruptive abilities are a pretty tough thing to dodge in the hitbox.
