Time Is My Enemy (T.I.M.E.) is a concept album which is based on all things to do with ‘Time’. The album is introduced by a sample from the National Geographic program named ‘Genius’ in which, Geoffrey Rush, who is portraying an older Albert Einstein, is giving a lecture about time. This sets the scene, as the listener is immersed by the sounds of clocks ticking and a monologue questioning what the definition of ‘Time’ actually is. 
The second track, which is self-named after the album ‘T.I.M.E.’, portrays the reality of myself having arrived as an artist, working vigorously to fulfil my dreams, with the only entity standing in the way of success being time. Both the intro and the first song of the album share a dark theme with an abundance of ambience. The use of reversed sounds and reverbs create a suspenseful feel, which solidifies the idea that I am in the presence of my enemy – Time.
Over the next three tracks, I decided to implement samples from genres of music I was inspired by to create this album. I intrinsically picked these samples ranging from different time periods of the evolution of Hip-Hop and R&B as the album progresses, applying a more profound contribution to the theme of the concept. 
‘All Eyez On Me’, is the third track of the album, which contains a sample from the Tupac song ‘Do for Love’ (1998). The lyrical theme of this song is directed towards people who doubt or show hatred regarding the aspects of my work. The result of this being that all of their eyes are on me and this has helped me further my goals, whilst they are stuck in their ways. The good vibe feeling of the track creates a euphoric sense of feeling, which in turn mimics the individuals who show hatred.
‘Come Over’ is an R&B inspired song, which contains a sample by the late legendary singer Aaliyah, from her song which is also named Come Over (2002). This track carries the concept towards a more intimate theme of sharing experiences and time with a sexual partner. Being in the presence of a companion can sometimes feel like time has stopped and this is the imagery that I was inspired to convey. With regards to the production of this track, the use of time-based effects, such as heavy reverbs and delays, displays a manipulation of time, again supporting the concept of the album.
‘I’m Here’ is the last track of the album, which is heavily inspired by the progression of the Hip-Hop genre within present time. The sample in this track is only a lyrical reference to the song ‘Walk It Talk It’ by Migos (2018), but the use of which further supports the idea of evolution within the genre. The lyrical theme of the song can be related to that of the second track ‘T.I.M.E.’, in the sense that I am working hard to progress within the music industry and fulfil my dreams. However, there is a more arrogant feel to this track, almost as If I have gained the confidence to conquer the enemy of the album. Also, the idea that I have started and ended the album with myself being the central figure of the theme could be related to how time is said to loop. The production on this track also shares the same ideologies, with hard hitting drums and a booming 808 bassline, ‘I’m Here’ displays the attitude and belief that must be exhibited to progress in this industry.
