Vitaliy Dubree’s new album Ratio et Caritas finds the Chernogolovka-based producer stepping outside his familiar dub techno framework into a more exploratory electronic space. Known for his releases on Leipzig’s Insectorama, Dubree shifts focus here toward intelligent electronica with clear traces of Berlin School sequencing and electro-inspired rhythm design. The record explores the balance between structure and emotion, through precise sound design, pulsing low-end movement, and melodic phrasing that gradually builds narrative tension.

While still grounded in the spacious atmospheres and delay drenched textures of dub, Ratio et Caritas feels more introspective and narrative driven than Dubree’s earlier output. Each track carries subtle references to Soviet era sci-fi films, weaving archival fragments into the mix to create a sense of cultural memory and modest futurism. The result is an album that bridges studio precision with emotional resonance, less a functional dance record, more a focused study in texture, pacing, and the intersection of human and cosmic scale.

This week PsyBaBas proudly presents the Hungarian duo INIT PRESET & RIZOMORF (Liquid Monkeys Tribe / D Noir Records) live & direct from the studio.

“I am RIZOMORF aka. Bendegúz Nagy. I was born in 1993. I believe connections between people are just as complex as Mycelium. When this kind of connection appears important informations get shared. I started playing on an old bass guitar back in ’09, I tryed myself out in multible music genders like grunge, old rock, pop, funky, classic rock, metal core, djent metal, blues and jazz. Init Preset and I used to play together in a metal band. Later in ’14 I moved on towards electronic music and since I met lot of interesting hungarian producers.”
INIT PRESETt is Gergő Tóth. Born at ’93 in Hungary. First time i got guitar lessons,and start to learn music. Few years later, i created a Metal band and play and wrote many songs. 2013. I went to my first psychedelic party, and i felt to have to do this. :)
2014. Started Init Preset project. 2014. I went Sound engeener school and i learn mixing and mastering techniques.
I and my friend Rizomorf we started to make psychedelic forest sounds in 150-160 bpm with fat basslines and strong FM leads. Besides that they are made faster tracks with Hitech/Dark inspirations.

With the winter at the door, the forest is woven with fresh air and the fragrance of pines, and icycles are drizzling with crystal clear dew. Gail is ready for the holiday season, as he has been visiting all the mountain neighbours in their caves and he filled his sack with more goodies than we can imagine. Some of them he decided to keep for himself, as to keep him entertained and busy during the coming chilly days, but some of them he packed carefully to share with all of us.

We at Forestdelic have received a whole pile of gift packs at our address this morning, and had the pleasure to try them out for ourselves first, and we can tell you, Gail made a compilation of the best of the best sounds the cave dwellers produced lately. As we’re still dancing to all of them repeatedly, we’re obliged by him to also share them free of charge with all of you, so feast your ears and treat your feet to a stomping holiday season!
