Once Lianna and I started to comprehend the beauty of the possibility of our childhood religion being a half fiction, all of a sudden our world was flooded with light. We could live happy lives and love as much as we could, as well as see ourselves in the exaggerations and wild, entertaining storytelling of most religion and mythology. Railway Man is about accepting reality as it is, but extracting every bit of joy from it.
