Despite polar opposite backgrounds Twin Flames found a common musical language. This captivating duo combines two accomplished and very unique singer songwriters Jaaji a Mohawk/Inuit man from Kahnawake/Nunavik and Chelsey June an Algonquin Cree Métis Woman from Ottawa. Twin Flames takes the audience on a musical journey across Canada and the Arctic, they echo the voices of their ancestors and depict life on the land as they sing songs in English, Inuktitut and French. They leave audiences fascinated, intrigued and inspired. Their debut joint album Twin Flames - Jaaji and Chelsey June made it to the top of music charts the song Porchlight reached #1 on The National Aboriginal Music Countdown top 40. The Album has now received two nominations for the Native American Music Awards for Best Folk Album and Best new duo. We have also most recently been nominated Aboriginal Songwriters of the year at the Canadian Folk Music awards. Native Trailblazers in the USA selected us as Best Indie Artists of 2016.
