About Benny's Back Yard Project:
New Zealand's Benny's Backyard Project began as a passion project aiming to provide opportunities for local, and up and coming DJs to showcase their talent, in an intimate, ambient, boiler room-type setting. BBP consists of Auckland local fellas Mattheu Pong and Benny Daniel being the designated button pushers and hosts, and Darren Nguyen behind the lens. Matty and Benny bring their passion for the dark minimal and deep liquid sounds to the scene, always looking for new ways to create and innovate. Between them, they have played a sold-out Studio the Venue alongside Sly Chaos, a sold-out Totara Records Summer Sendoff, Destination Unknown and Invades: The Races Day Party both at Ellerslie Event Centre, Collekt's Mutual Motion, as well as various GeorgeFM features and venues across Auckland. As of late they have been on support for international heavy hitters Kanine and Skepsis and are set to continue tackling one of the best drum and bass scenes in the world
