I was sitting at the piano with a loud beat playing. I wanted to buy a new pair of Nike but I was really broke. The first lyrics I wrote could both evoke the money we’re looking for and 💵  someone we love 💛 ; I couldn’t make a choice between these two meanings so I thought : the song would talk about everyting at the same time. So Chasing You became Cha$ing You.

Cette chanson est née devant un piano, avec un beat qui tournait derrière. J’avais envie d’acheter des Nike mais j’étais super a découvert. Les premiers lyrics pouvaient à la fois évoquer l’argent 💵 qu’on n’a pas ou quelqu’un qu’on aime 💛 et je n’arrivais pas à choisir entre les deux. Du coup je me suis dit qu'il n'y avait pas à choisir et que la chanson pourrait parler de tout ça en même temps. Ainsi Chasing You est devenue Cha$ing You.
