Bobby Shann makes his Hottrax debut this summer with ‘Turn It Up’. 

Known for his hip-hop influenced house material, Bobby Shann’s productions have been supported by heavy-hitters such as Joseph Capriati, Loco Dice and Michael Bibi. Now, Shann makes a sizzling first outing on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax label with his new release ‘Turn It Up’. 

Bouncy lead track ‘Turn It Up’ infuses Middle Eastern inspired harmonies with timely bleeps and claps, before the punchy ‘Hard Feelings’ harnesses driving basslines, snaking percussion and the enticing vocals of Nicole Dash Jones in this sultry cut.

Spaniard Samuel Dan rounds out July with a return to Hector Couto’s Roush Label, dropping three fresh cuts in the form of his ‘Mamba’ EP. Having released his ‘Boodang’ EP on the label back in December 2017, Spanish talent Samuel Dan is certainly no stranger to followers of Roush, whilst further EPs include releases on the likes of VIVa, Materialism, Deeperfect and Suara amongst many. 

Following on from his recent outing on Rawsome Recordings, July will signal the arrival of his ‘Mamba’ EP, unveiling three new productions in the heart of summer. Lead track ‘Mamba’ opens proceedings with authority as swirling synth leads and laser effects meet driving drum loops and infectious, hooky vocal snippets.

Following up his 2017 debut ‘Halo’ EP on Saved, we’re welcoming Italian DJ and producer, Simone Liberali back to the label this month with his brand new ‘Landslide’ EP. His music – distinguished for its powerful, percussive and playful sound, has found homes on labels including Incorrect, NONSTOP, elrow, Material and AVOTRE as well as seeing him tour the world and play in renowned clubs across the globe including Egg London, elrow Barcelona and Pacha & Sankeys in Ibiza. Lead track ‘Landslide’ kicks things off with percussive drums and mesmerizing atmospherics whilst Jinadu’s soulful, soothing vocals offer a memorable hook which is at once uplifting and enchanting yet tinged with a beautiful melancholy. ‘Discordia’ closes out the EP, a playful loop-driven groove with a bouncing bassline, shuffling snares, warped synths and vocal chants that ebb and flow throughout the composition.

Dennis Cruz makes his first outing on his newly launched MÜSE imprint as he delivers 'Get Them Up' to close September.

A leading talent with releases via likes of Solid Grooves, Hot Creations, Moon Harbour and Crosstown Rebels, Madrid's Dennis Cruz is undeniably one of the most in-demand artists within house and tech house, with appearances in 2019 alone including sets at Watergate (Berlin), Amnesia, Pacha, Ushuaïa and Privilege (Ibiza), Studio 338 and E1 (London), and Defected Croatia to name just a few. Launched in May this year and co-founded alongside Barcelona's Eddy M, MÜSE has quickly become an imprint of note and the label now reveals the first contribution from Cruz as he makes his highly anticipated debut with the slick 'Get Them Up' this September.

A groove-heavy cut with slinking percussion, infectious vocal hooks and bumping bass licks at its core, 'Get Them Up' unravels across seven and a half minutes to reveal yet another impressive Dennis Cruz production that looks set to become a go-to for many in the months ahead.

The expressive Urulu remix of the titular track on Harrison BDP's most recent release, 'Sweet Dreams', barges into existence. Stomping, insistent and brimming with a menagerie of undertones, it seems to descend into itself with tottering samples and 8-bit-style bleeps that scrawl calligraphy lines of sound upon the original.

This record is like a stained-glass lightshow rippling down upon the thoughts of an easy dreamer, and an utter treat for your speakers.
