Coming into the next immersion composition day, I finally acquired a bass drum.  This is my sound check as I figured out how to mic it decently with an SM58.  There are several broken claws on the drum, so the head isn't on quite right . . . and I stuffed it full of towels to stop a lot of the ringing.  Still -- this is a big upgrade from beat-boxing!
